I'm mostly around at home, and work a few hours in a nursery school when needed, so have plenty of time for walking dogs and keeping them company. My daughter works from home and loves to spend time with our dog Nora and her doggy friends.

Information Wendy S. would like to know about your pet
Nora (our family dog) and I would like to meet with you and your dog before any bookings. This will be a good opportunity to get to know your dog and to chat about their temperament, when to let them off the lead, feeding routine etc. and for us to agree arrangements. Please let me know if your dog has any medical needs, and complete their vet details on the Rover app. Please also provide a local emergency contact for your dog.
A typical day
Our house is small and we like to keep things calm at home. For dogs that are boarding with us, I usually do one or two longish off-lead walks so our dogs can have a good run and play together, and a couple of local walks, either to the park or round the block, depending on the energy levels of the dogs and the weather etc. I can collect your dog for one of these walks and drop them home again, if they just need a walk. I have several favourite walks, which are fairly local, eg The Boardwalk, Beacon Hill, Saltdean/Rottingdean under cliff, Carats, the Racehill, Stanmer Park and Withdean Park.

Beach, woods and downland walks for your dog
Pet care experience
I plan our walks to suit the weather, ages and natures of the dogs here any particular day, whether it's a romp along the beach when the tide is out, a scamper through the woods or a leisurely plod along some flatish downland, or just a trot round the local park. I would love up to 3 small doggy companions to walk with our family dog, Nora, who is a friendly 9 year old Cavachon. Young and high energy dogs aren't a good fit with us. You might need your dog taken for a walk, or doggy daycare, or a home from home while you have a few days away, or several weeks away. Let me know, and we'll see if it works for us all. Nora and I would love to meet you and your dog to chat about your dog's temperament, routine etc. I usually do my first walk with new dogs at Withdean puppy park, so we get used to each other, and I can make sure they come back to me when off lead. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your special dog companion.

Wendy was great

I highly recommend Wendy. She has looked after my dog, Daisy, over the last few years. Daisy is always happy to see Wendy and her dog, Nora. Wendy is very kind, dependable, and is great with sending me updates on Daisy while I am away.

Wendy has looked after my dog for a few years now and he is always happy to see her! She is very friendly and attentive to his needs. I would highly recommend her!
