Pet care experience

Pet care, healing hands, van taxi

Hi, I'm Wendy — a Boise animal lover, raised in Idaho. For over a decade I founded and ran an award-winning business here in Boise. That taught me the thing that matters most in pet care: show up when you said you would, every single time, and treat someone's home and routine with respect. I share my home with my dog Burt Reynolds, a 7 year old Bloodhound/Poodle “Bloodle”. What you get with me: photo updates after every visit, so you're never wondering how your dog is doing. Fresh water, walks at your dog's pace with time to wander and their normal routine kept exactly as it is — same feeding times, same walk, same spot on the couch. I'm also a certified Reiki practitioner, which in practice just means I'm patient and calm with anxious dogs. Nervous rescues, senior dogs, and pups who take a while to warm up are genuinely welcome here. I drive a vintage Vanagon that dogs seem to love, and I'm happy to handle vet runs or grooming drop-offs if that helps your week. Every new client starts with a meet & greet — your dog interviews me, and you decide with zero pressure

Safety, trust & environment

Your routine is the plan. At our meet & greet I write down feeding amounts and times, medications, walk routes, house rules, and the quirks only you know — then I follow it exactly. If something comes up that isn't on the list, I text you before I improvise. Safety habits I don't skip: the leash goes on before the door opens, every single time. I check gates and door latches on my way out. I don't let a dog off-leash unless you've told me it's okay and we're somewhere secure. On hot Boise afternoons I test the pavement with my hand before we walk, shift walks to early morning or evening and always carry water. I keep your vet's info and the nearest emergency vet saved before the first visit, along with a backup contact of yours. Keys stay on me, never labeled with your address, never left under a mat. Your home gets treated like a home, not a job site. No guests, lights and blinds as I found them, trash and mail handled, and I leave it the way you left it. You get a photo and a short note after every visit, so you always know exactly how your dog's day went.

Wendy is amazing with dogs. She has a natural gift for understanding exactly what they need, and she takes great care of every dog in her charge. She's incredibly intuitive, picking up on things most people would miss. Dogs light up around her, especially on walks and outings, because she genuinely loves being active with them. She's a lifelong dog lover, and it shows in everything she does. Any dog is lucky to have her.
