Availability

Because I work from home, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I am available throughout the day to provide companionship, playtime, potty breaks, meals, enrichment, and plenty of individual attention. This allows me to offer weekday daycare and overnight boarding in my home, where pets can settle into a calm, comfortable routine without spending long periods alone. On weekends, I also offer overnight care in your home. To make sure I can give your pet my full attention while also maintaining a healthy routine for my own pets, I limit these stays to a maximum of three consecutive nights. For cats, I offer 30-minute drop-in visits that can include feeding, fresh water, litter box care, medication, playtime, and affection based on your cat’s personality and comfort level. Cat visits are generally available during the day or evening for homes located within approximately five miles of my home. I also provide dog walks and drop-in potty breaks within my service area. My primary availability is in the morning and evening. Midday visits are more limited, but may be available on holidays or on days when my work schedule allows additional flexibility. I intentionally keep my client list small, which gives me more room to accommodate individual routines and special requests. If your pet’s schedule falls outside my usual availability, feel free to reach out. I will always do my best to find an arrangement that works.

Safety, trust & environment

Every pet receives care based on their routine, personality, and comfort level. My goal is to create a calm, safe environment where they can relax and feel at home. For boarding, pets have access to a securely fenced yard for supervised play, enrichment, and frequent potty breaks. I have three friendly rescue dogs, but visiting pets are never left with them unsupervised. Pets are separated during meals, when I leave the house, or anytime they need their own quiet space. A meet and greet is required before boarding so we can confirm that everyone feels comfortable and the environment is a good fit. Dogs who prefer their own space can still enjoy walks, enrichment, outdoor time, and plenty of one-on-one attention. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow their usual feeding, walking, medication, play, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. I also send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I keep my client list small so each pet receives attentive, personalized care that never feels rushed.

Information Wendy L. would like to know about your pet

Before care begins, I’d love to know about your pet’s daily routine, personality, and favorite activities. Please share their feeding schedule, bathroom habits, exercise needs, medications, allergies, health concerns, and any behaviors I should be aware of. It is also important for me to know how your pet responds to other animals, new people, children, food, toys, crates, and being left alone. Please mention any triggers, fears, escape habits, resource guarding, separation anxiety, or past incidents, even if they seem minor. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy while providing care that feels familiar to them.

A typical day

Every pet has their own idea of fun, so I tailor activities to their age, energy level, personality, and routine. For active dogs, that may include neighborhood walks, backyard play, fetch, tug, and supervised playtime with my friendly resident pets. For puppies and curious dogs, I incorporate short training games, puzzle toys, treat searches, and enrichment activities that keep both their bodies and brains busy. Senior pets and lower-energy guests can enjoy slower sniff walks, gentle play, sunbathing in the yard, cuddle time, and plenty of cozy breaks. I also run an enrichment toy program professionally, so I enjoy finding creative ways to keep pets mentally stimulated without overwhelming them. Whether your pet wants an adventure, a puzzle to solve, or a quiet spot beside me on the couch, I will make sure their stay feels fun, comfortable, and personalized.

Thoughtful Care. Peace of Mind

Pet care experience

For the past year, I have provided dog walking and in-home pet sitting through a professional pet care company, working with dogs of all ages, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. My regular clients have included nervous rescues, energetic puppies, reactive dogs, and seniors who prefer a slower pace and plenty of time to stop and sniff. I also manage the company’s enrichment toy program, so I understand that great pet care is about more than physical exercise. I use play, puzzles, sniffing activities, and individualized attention to help pets stay mentally engaged, comfortable, and happy. What sets me apart is the level of care and communication I provide. Pet parents can count on me to be reliable, follow instructions closely, and send thoughtful updates with detailed notes, photos, and videos. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, comfort level, and unique personality so their care never feels one-size-fits-all. I am Cat and Dog First Aid certified through the American Red Cross and comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, and nervous or reactive dogs. I am also a lifelong pet owner, so animals have always been part of my home and daily life. For boarding, I intentionally keep my guest list small. I only welcome a few pets at a time so each one receives genuine attention, one-on-one interaction, and a calm, consistent routine. I am home throughout the day, have a secure fenced yard, and share my quiet home with friendly, well-socialized pets who enjoy having company. Think of it less like a boarding facility and more like your pet is staying with a trusted friend who happens to be really good at pet care. Please note: I do not accept bookings without a meet-and-greet beforehand. Since my pets and any current boarding guests share the same space, it's important to me that every new dog is a good fit , comfortable, well-socialized, and safe around the others. A quick in-person meeting lets me observe how your dog interacts, answer any questions you have, and make sure the environment will be a good match for everyone involved

Wendy took wonderful care of my two cats while I was away, and I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter. She was reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring, and it was clear she took the time to get to know each of my cats' personalities and needs. Her updates and photos gave me complete peace of mind, and I came home to two happy, well-cared-for cats. I highly recommend Wendy to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate pet sitter, and I will definitely book with her again!

My dear furry baby Kobe hates staying home alone and he's very particular about who is in our house. He's little but overprotective of his home. So when it came to looking for a furry babby sitter I was worried. However, when Wendy came to visit for the first time he was very friendly and calm around her! I was very relieved especially because I know he's happy and well cared for in her hands. thank you!!! from me and Kobe :-)
