I currently work part-time so I am gone from 7-4:30 on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Otherwise I am able to be home all day if needed! We have two dogs right now and they stay at home while my husband and I are at work. We are fairly active and spend a lot of time outside when the weather cooperates!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large outdoor kennel for our two dogs that can easily accommodate another dog if need be. Otherwise, your pet is welcome to stay in the house or a different crate if preferred. One of my two dogs has separation anxiety and will only stay calm when left in the outdoor kennel when I leave the house. I do everything in my power to do as the pet owners prefer and anything to keep the pet at ease with the time away from their owners.

Information Wendy L. would like to know about your pet
I am able to work with most cats and dogs that have come into my care. As long as everything is talked about beforehand, I am willing to take on a lot. I would need to know about any medications or extra food supplements the animal is taking. I also would like to know about any health issues your pet may have or I may encounter while you’re away. I would like to know about feeding schedules as well.
A typical day
We love going for long walks/hikes around the area. The Ahnapee trail is a good place to burn off some energy. We play lots of fetch at home in the yard to allow for added exercise during the day. There are also many places to take the dogs to go swimming in the area! My boys absolutely love water!

Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals all my life! I grew up on a farm where we had almost any farm animal you can think of. I have been responsible for caring for my own pets for as long as I can remember. Family, friends, and neighbors have trusted me with their pets since I was about 10. I am a huge cat and dog lover! I have two dogs of my own who are very friendly and love meeting and playing with other dogs! I went to college at UWRF and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science where I studied animal behavior and training. I am willing and able to work with you and your pets to provide the best care possible! That includes any and all medications needed or any other specific needs your pet may need!
Reviews

Wendy did a great job with my furry boys. It was wonderful to get updates from their check ins when I was gone. She was even able to hunt down and find my furry boy who loves to hide on people. Overall a wonderful experience!
Wendy has been very dependable and our dogs like her very much. The drop-in photos are always a great way to see how they are reacting and to know when she was there for the drop in. We highly recommend her.
Wendy was great with all our animals and went above and beyond, even working with a snowstorm. I will definitely use her service again. Thanks Wendy!

Wendy was great! Excellent communicator, large yard, friendly dogs, and trustworthy with our pup for the night! Thank you so much!
