Pet care experience

Fun & Loving pet sitter

As a Certified Veterinary Assistant, I’m deeply passionate about animal care and pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and attentive. I’ve spent my life caring for a wide range of animals from livestock to beloved house pets always approaching them with patience, respect, and genuine love. My training has given me a strong understanding of proper handling and animal behavior, allowing me to remain calm, observant, and responsive to each pet’s unique needs. I pay close attention to the details, whether that’s routines, medications, or subtle behavior changes, so every animal receives thoughtful, individualized care. I truly enjoy what I do and feel grateful to support pets and their families in this way. Safety, organization, and preparedness are always a priority for me. I come equipped for walks with my own gear and water to keep pets comfortable and hydrated. I’m an active person and happy to match your pet’s energy and routine. long walks, outdoor play, or relaxed companionship. I love being outside and making sure pets feel happy, healthy, and cared for while you’re away. I look forward to giving your pets the same care and attention I’d want for my own.

Safety, trust & environment

I do want to be transparent that I have a friendly 1-year-old rescue pup who may accompany me for certain bookings. He’s well-mannered, kennel trained, affectionate, and great with other animals and kids. Because of this, I’m the best fit for households whose pets are comfortable around other dogs. I always offer meet-and-greets beforehand to make sure everyone feels safe and gets along. I value working with clients whose needs and routines align with mine so I can provide the highest quality care possible. If your pets prefer being the only animals present, I completely understand. I strive to create a fun, welcoming environment where your pets feel comfortable and truly cared for while you’re away. Their happiness and well-being are always valuable. I absolutely love to snuggle and enjoy cozy couch time with pets, and I’m happy to have them on the bed as long as they’re comfortable sharing space. having an alternative sleeping spot (like a bed or crate in the room or nearby) works great too. My goal is to make sure everyone pets and humans gets a good night’s rest while keeping things safe.

I honestly don’t know where to start! We just are so pleased with Wendy! We’ve asked her to sit our dogs twice now, once for 4 days & once for 3, both times with pretty short notice & she has bent over backwards to make it happen. We had her come meet us & the dogs the first time & we were comfortable with her immediately. Our one dog, who’s shy of everyone, warmed up to Wendy so quickly we couldn’t believe it. As an example of how helpful she is, I locked myself out of my house after that meet & greet. She was the holder of the spare key at that point & she came right over to let me back in, which is definitely not in the job description! Our house is exactly as we left it each time we return (I love coming home to a clean house after a trip so that matters a lot to me) and we know our dogs are safe & happy with her. Don’t hesitate to book her, we’re very picky with who we allow into our lives & we are so pleased we took a chance hiring Wendy from Rover. Thank you!!!!

Schedule

if you are located outside of the Sandy area, I am no longer offering regular drop-in visits. I’m still happy to help on an occasion or once-in-a-while basis if you’re in a pinch. I do, however, remain fully available for overnight stays as long as my schedule is open. For overnight care, it works best if your pet is comfortable being left alone for 3-6 hrs at a time, as this aligns well with my routine. I’m mostly a homebody, but I do step out for the gym and errands, and I always make sure pets maintain a balanced and comfortable schedule. My goal is always to provide dependable, thoughtful care so your pets feel safe, and well cared for.

This includes:       Emergency contacts, such as your veterinarian.       A history of any health concerns or behavioral issues to provide the appropriate care.   Any additional details about your pet that would be helpful. Home and Supply Information Knowing where to find essential supplies such as:       Food, treats, medications, walking gear, toys, litter, grooming tools, cleaners, etc.       General information about your home that might be helpful during my stay.
