Availability

I’m a fulltime stay at home mum, I would love to take care of your furry friend from a loving, family country environment alongside my husband Patrick Kohler who works from home. Providing a safe and fun space for your furry family member is my top priority. Whether it's cuddles, playtime, or structured care, every dog that visits becomes part of our extended family. Will give daily updates and pictures, plenty of attention and 3 walks a day in a quiet rural area. If allowed I will take them to Forrest walks and barrow walks as well.

Safety, trust & environment

They will become a part of our family and that means lots of cuddles and attention if they want it. We have a big back garden where they can explore or run with our own dog. We have no kennels so every dog stays in our house and really is part of the family. (In the country side of Nurney, Carlow) They need to be housetrained. And unfortunately we can’t take any unneutered males.

If your dog has special needs please let me know. I’m sure we can accommodate a lot of different things. I have lots of experience with dogs so does my husband.

A typical day

I love to be busy with them. If it’s a long walk they need or just a long cuddle session. I’m up for anything. I often do 5/7kilometer walks. And if they are not up for it then they could just stay home and cuddle with my husband.

Pet care experience

The Cosy Dog House I’ve been passionate about caring for animals since I was little, which led me to complete a 4-year animal care taker course, along with a dog training course. I worked in a pet shop and as an assistant in a vet clinic. Experience with sighthounds (whippet owner)

Wendy and her family are excellent, very kind and caring and our furbaby made great friends with her other doggos. She was patient with him and sent some lovely updates and pictures of his walks and activities. I'd highly recommend them.

Wendy and family took such great care of our dog Astor and truly made him part of the family. They were very caring and attentive when he was unsettled initially. We got great photos too. He was really happy to stay with them and even when he rolled in something really stinky Wendy was kind enough to give him a great bath. Thank you Wendy, Patrick, Alex and Adrian, and Dakota🙏

Once again, we are very happy with the care that Wendy provided to our boy Oscar. We had peace of mind while we were away on our holiday that Oscar was in good hands. Thanks for all that you do, Wendy!

Wendy was a wonderful find for us. She and her family were brilliant with Buddy and Toby. We got regular photos and the boys looked so happy. Was such peace of mind for us as they are older dogs and very spoilt!!! I would highly recommend Wendy and would like to thank her for the care she gave the boys.
