The house has a private fenced large patio for pets. At home I provide cameras SURVEILLANCE 24/7! EXCLUSIVE sitting service, meaning that your family member will be our ONLY GUEST at the time, the exception is when owners request a boarding service for brothers or sisters already living together. Dogs coming from different families don't always get along and it's already stressful enough to change their environment by boarding. By taking 1 pup at a time, all my attention will be on your pet's activities and behavior, also gives me time to walk them, supervise them and give them tons of love; and most important of all, that's how Paws Retreat prevents possible dogfights and/or injuries between my guests and to myself. I offer a HIGH STANDARD and proper care for your pet. They will enjoy every relaxing activity, having them supervised at all times and following every instruction you leave me while you are away, including special food preparation, wet food mix and medications. IMPORTANT: I have been trained to perform dog CPR and First Aid if something ever happens during the stay, and I have experience taking care and administering medication to pets as a volunteer of the Austin Humane Society for a long time. I am available for sitting, boarding and grooming. I have a flexible schedule and I am available during the day, afternoon, night and weekends. I also give oatmeal baths , ear cleansing and nail trim (GROOMING PACKAGE) upon request, usually the owners ask for this package the day they will pick their pets up so they go home all clean and refreshed. When sitting, your pet and I will go for at least 4 potty breaks a day: as soon as they wake up in the morning, at noon after lunch, in the afternoon after a play date and at night before they go to bed (after dinner). I also have a secured LARGE patio in the back where they can hang out, run and play under my supervision. I love going to the dog park, as well as trying new places to entertain your loved one. So, if there is a specific place your pet likes to go I can accommodate. If you have a cat instead of a dog, I haven't forgot about you! I have some clients who asked me to take care of their lovely kittens. They can stay at my house, I'll feed them, clean their litter box, pet them, play with them and make sure they have fresh water available at all times. I can also visit them to their home and spoil them. PICK-UP and DROP-OFF: My schedule is very flexible and I adapt to YOURS. One of the reasons you use this sitting service is because you want to relax during your vacation and no need to worry about drop-off/pick-up timing, otherwise you would have chose a kennel. You can bring your pet as early as 8AM and pick him/her up as late as 10PM ANY DAY. I don't charge extra for keeping them a couple of hours with me, I like their company and I do this because I enjoy it. As a pet owner and a traveling person, I understand and know that you want to be with your pet the sooner you can and I won't put any pressure on your timing. *Other hours can be worked out if necessary and last minute extended days are available upon request. Why I love dog sitting I have been a pet lover since I was a little kid, I do not have any memory of my past without a pet. My experience administering medication Absolutely, I have been a volunteer for the Austin Humane Society and some other shelters abroad where I was trained to administer medications. I work from home, therefore your first baby will be with company at all times! I adapt to the pup’s routine and needs as instructed during the meet and greet, or by instructions given at drop-off. I have a big fenced grass yard where the pups and I play, hang out (weather allowed) and they can also void. I don’t let them out unattended to avoid accidents and/or escaping.

10/10 - couldn't recommend Wendy more. My only hesitation with leaving a positive review is that Wendy would be booked up the next time we need a rover for our dog. She kept us updated with daily photos, had our dog playing a ton, was super responsive, worked with our schedules, and was an absolute joy to have watch our dog. Eased our mind about traveling and will 100% be using her again.
Wendy was absolutely amazing with our fur babies. We've never brought them to a pet sitter before, so we were a little anxious but Wendy calmed our worries with how much care she gave. If we need another pet sitter, we will definitely hire Wendy again if she's available.

Wendy is, hands down, the best dog sitter on the planet. She is patient, loving and professional. She takes better care of my dogs than I do. I appreciated all of her texts and pictures and updates. I will plan my future vacations around her availability. If you are looking for a pet sitter and she is available, consider yourself lucky and book her before someone else does.
As always, I know my Bela was well taken care of and happy in Wendy’s care! Thank you again for making her feel so at home when I’m out of town.

Schedule
I work from home, so your pet will have company AT ALL TIMES! The only time that I leave my home is to run errands such as: grocery shopping or doctors appointments.

At my home, they are always supervised and I will adapt to the instructions/routine given by the pet parents. During the visits at your home, I will make sure your pet is eating, voiding and following any medication or walking routine.

Here's where we'll take our walks. I live in Sunfield and there are a few trails to take the doggies too, I can also adapt to the routine around your house. I have been taking my own dogs and pet guests for walks in my neighborhood during the day and night, and I am also proud to say that it is a very safe community and good environment for your pet. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I accommodate to the owner's instructions. In the past I had pets who slept in my bed, other slept on the couch, in the living area, etc. I have also had shy puppies used to sleep under the furniture and a senior mama who only slept in the closet with the door closed, so I had to empty all my closet just for her once, it was quite a different experience but she behaved excellent, she just got afraid by night time. Time I'll spend with your dog Your pet will be under supervision 24/7 if he stays at my home. If I am visiting your home, normally I do it 3 to 4 times a day and I stay as long as needed until I am done with all my chores, usually takes about 20-30 min each visit. *In special occasions or if the pet is really not comfortable spending the night by itself, I can do overnights upon request with a price arrangement.
