I prefer to do a phone or video call for introductions and discuss what you need from me. From there, I prefer to arrange an in-person meet and greet. This allows for your pet to meet me and decide if they approve of me! I am generally comfortable with any cameras you may have in the house. I personally have 2 in my own home and understand that it offers peace of mind. I also understand that it can be nerve racking to have a stranger in your home. I am also happy to discuss any other accommodations to ensure that you feel comfortable.

Information Wen M. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know about your pets' medical history in case there is anything I should be wary of (ie: Cushings, heart disease, seizures, etc). I also would like to know how your pet does with other animals especially if it's a dog and we're going outside for walks/dog parks. Please tell me about things your pet especially likes, I want to make sure they're happy! Also please let me know if your pet tends to be on the naughty side and do mischievous things like open the fridge and eat things. But especially if they tend to ingest their toys, I don't want to make a trip to the ER for a foreign body obstruction!
A typical day
My own dogs don't play fetch so I LOVE playing fetch with other dogs. I'm more than happy to drive and take your dog to dog parks if that is something you're comfortable with. If your dog is more a prefer to chill at home and watch a movie, I'm more than happy to accommodate them. Also, treats at every visit is a must!

Pet care experience
I have worked in veterinary medicine for 6 years - mainly been in emergency and medical oncology with shelter medicine volunteering. My services include drop-in and dog walking visits - but I specialize in medication administration. Most of my long-term clients have pets with medical needs that I take care of when they go out of town. This includes administration of both oral medications and subcutaneous injections. I'm also happy to help with owners who may need some assistance with administering medications by themselves. Even with instructions and demonstrations, it can be difficult! I can also just assist for 1-2 times until you're able to get the hang of it. Aside from drop-ins, I also really enjoy walking and/or hiking with dogs! I no longer offer pet sitting and boarding services. I personally have a cat and 2 dogs of my own so it can be a little difficult. I do on special occasions make exceptions, happy to discuss further. I’m always happy to call/meet to see if I’m able to assist you in any way. Note: I do ask for an additional charge for and medication administration pending on the situation.

Reviews

Wen really got along well with my cat Snorri! She provided gentle check in care, sent plenty of pictures, short videos and updates so I felt like Snorri well taken care of and entertained when I was away. I would highly recommend Wen.

Wen stayed at our house for the weekend to watch our doggo. She was super communicative, kind, and helpful with anything we needed. She left feedback and we trust that our Taro was in good hands. She left our house very clean. Thank you, sweet Wen!

Wen was a great find. I have never hired a pet sitter before and was pretty anxious about it. I was so concerned about leaving my cats, especially since the oldest was recently diagnosed as diabetic and is on insulin. But Wen came ahead and made sure she knew what was needed, and that really helped. During my absence, she sent pictures and videos and talked over the phone when that was easier. I could see that all was well. When I returned, we resumed our routines quite easily. I will definitely use her again. Thanks, Wen!

Great communication! Thanks Wen!
