Pet care experience

Animal lover and whisperer!

Hello! I young professional who works remotely and loves working with animals of all types. I do not define myself as someone who just loves cats or dogs! I love all animals. I have grown up around all types of animals and currently am a proud cat mom to Muffin (short for the muffin man). He is playful, loving, and curious. I have prior experience taking care of both cats and dogs in different capacities and settings. I am timely, organized, and very personable. One notable experience I have is caring for a neighbors cat during the time in which they were on vacation. I fed the cat, cleaned its liter box, groomed it, and had a great time playing with it — keeping it both active and company. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out. I look forward to meeting all your furry little friends!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

Caring for pets in my home or a client's home involves a comprehensive approach tailored to their specific needs. Here’s how I typically provide care: 1. Feeding: I ensure pets receive the appropriate diet, following specific instructions regarding portion sizes and feeding schedules. Fresh water is always available. 2. Exercise and Play: I engage pets in daily exercise through walks, playtime, and interactive activities, catering to their energy levels and preferences. 3. Grooming: Regular grooming is part of my routine, including brushing to reduce shedding and matting, as well as nail trimming and ear cleaning as needed. 4. Health Monitoring: I keep an eye on any changes in behavior, appetite, or physical condition, and I’m vigilant for signs of illness or discomfort. If necessary, I communicate with the owner or a veterinarian. 5. Comfort and Safety: I create a safe, welcoming environment by ensuring the living space is clean and clutter-free. I provide familiar bedding and toys to help pets feel secure. 6. Social Interaction: I prioritize bonding time, offering affection and companionship to reduce anxiety and loneliness, especially for pets that may be stressed by their owner's absence. 7. Routine Maintenance: I maintain a consistent routine that mirrors the pet’s usual schedule, which helps them feel more at ease. This comprehensive approach ensures that pets receive the care they need to thrive, whether they are in my home or a client’s home.

Watanya was outstanding with our 10 year old rescue dog while we enjoyed vacation. Her attention to detail is amazing and she mirrored his daily routine completely which is above and beyond. She kept us updated daily with multiple pictures and I could see from his smile he thoroughly enjoyed his staycation. Our neighbors raved about her as well! We never worried about him the entire time we were away as he was in excellent hands. She cared for him like he was her own and we couldn't be happier!!! 😊

Watanya did a terrific job caring for my dog while I was away for a couple days. She was friendly and enthusiastic, punctual, communicated well, sent tons of photos and videos, addressed lots of details without needing to be asked, and let the house spotless when she was done. I will definitely be requesting her on for future stays!

Watanya is the best cat sitter I’ve ever seen. She was consistent and thoughtful with our sweet senior cat. She fed and refreshed her water daily. After every visit, she sent an update with photos and videos so we could rest assured knowing our girl was in good hands. She really went above and beyond! Ombre ADORES her and we will certainly be booking her again! If you have a chance to work with Watanya, you should take it

Watanya did such a great job house sitting, taking my pup on walks, snuggling her and leaving my house neat as a pin. She was also super communicative, sending tons of photos showing all their activities and how happy and relaxed my dog looked. I highly recommend her.

Schedule

Incorporating cat care into my daily and weekly routine is essential for keeping my feline friend happy and healthy. Each day, I ensure my cat has fresh food and water, and I spend time engaging with them through play and affection. Daily grooming helps reduce shedding and keeps their coat in good condition, while also providing a bonding opportunity. Weekly, I clean their litter box thoroughly and check supplies like food and litter to ensure I’m well-stocked. I might also schedule time for a deeper clean of their living space and check for any health signs that might need attention. Additionally, I spend quality time bonding with my cat through interactive play or simply relaxing together, which fosters a strong connection and keeps their spirits high.

Before taking care of a pet, I want to know the following: 1. Dietary Requirements: What and when the pet eats, any allergies, and portion sizes. 2. Routine: Daily schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks. 3. Behavioral Traits: The pet's personality, likes/dislikes, and any known behavioral issues or triggers. 4. Health Information: Any medical conditions, medications, or special care routines required. 5. Emergency Contacts: Contact details for the pet owner and the veterinarian, plus any emergency procedures. 6. Grooming Needs: Frequency of grooming, brushing, and any specific grooming products to use. 7. Favorite Activities: What toys or activities the pet enjoys to keep them engaged. 8. House Rules: Any specific rules or boundaries set by the owner, such as off-limits areas or behavioral expectations. 9. Socialization: How the pet interacts with other animals and people, including any socialization preferences. 10. Gathering this information helps ensure that I can provide the best care possible and keep the pet comfortable and happy.
