Hi! I'm Wanda. I am a nurse who just happens to also be a huge animal lover. I have owned and cared for so many animals over the years. I have had dogs, cats, rats, a parakeet, a gerbil, a chinchilla and a ferret. I am an animal lover of all kinds. I would love to help you with your fur babies! I have had cats for 20 years and I have been a dog momma for 26 years. I can care for your baby from puppy or kitten stage up to end of life. I am experienced checking pups blood sugar levels and giving meds or insulin as well as pilling a cat or giving them insulin. We currently have 3 German Shepherds: Zeeke, Scout and Greta and my world revolves around them! I am happy to help you with feeding, pets and scratches, potty breaks...whatever you need help with. My goal is to make your routines my routine. My favorite thing to do is house sitting so your pet can stay in their own environment, keep their own routine and have someone to snuggle with overnight while you are gone. Keeping their routines definitely minimizes anxiety while you are gone. I have experience with a wide range of breeds and temperaments, and I am committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for each and every dog (and cat) in my care. My client roster even includes a rabbit and a Bearded Dragon! I like to do a meet and greet with every animal I am going to sit for. I want to make sure the pet and the owner are comfortable with me. I bring my homemade dog treats with me as a ice breaker. I also then bring my treats back when I come to your home while you are gone. Dogs seem to remember me very quickly and I have no problem entering the home to care for them. I have not met a dog yet that does not like me or my treats! While you are gone, I will keep YOUR routines with your pets. I will take great photos of your pets and send you multiple updates while you are gone so that you can be assured your babies are being well cared for. I love on your pets as if they were my own. I would love to help you out and help care for your babies.

When I house sit for you or do a drop in, my routine is YOUR routine. If you want me to let your dog out for a potty break, play fetch or just cuddle on the couch, that is what I do. I want to keep your pet on their usual schedule and routine. This minimizes any anxiety related to you being gone.

Wanda was absolutely wonderful with our pups! We were honestly pretty nervous about having someone new come into our home to take care of them, mostly because of Ivy. She’s a 90+ lb Great Dane mix and can be reactive, so she can definitely be intimidating if you don’t know her. We’re very aware that asking someone to be comfortable walking into a house with a giant dog who has some quirks is a big ask 😂 Wanda came over to meet them beforehand, took the time to get to know both girls, and immediately made us feel so much more comfortable. She listened to all of our probably overly detailed instructions and never made us feel crazy for being anxious dog parents. When the actual visit came, she did AMAZING. She kept us updated, sent us pictures, and both girls seemed so happy and comfortable with her. It was such a relief being away and not feeling like we needed to worry about what was happening at home. I think the biggest compliment I can give is that we went into this really nervous about trusting someone new with our dogs, and now I wouldn’t hesitate to have Wanda take care of them again. Finding someone we trust with Ivy especially is HUGE for us. We’re so, so grateful we found her and would absolutely recommend her, especially if you have a big dog or one who needs someone a little more patient and understanding. ❤️
Wanda is absolutely amazing! She watched our cat and dog for over a week and provided updates twice per day. She stayed at our house. Everything was immaculate when we returned! We would DEFINITELY use her again!
Wanda did a wonderful job caring for our Cavapoo, Cece, and our cat, Cody, over the last three days. We especially appreciated her patience and dedication with Cece, who has congestive heart failure and can be very difficult when it comes to taking her medications. Making sure Cece got her pills on schedule is literally life-saving for her, and Wanda handled it well. When we returned home, both pets were happy and well cared for, and the house was clean and tidy. We felt completely at ease knowing our pets were in such capable hands. We would absolutely welcome Wanda back !!!

Schedule
I am currently working from home and I am able to step out anytime to help you with your pets. I am happy to help with meal times or play time. My daily routine is filled with playing ball, playing ball, and playing more ball with my German Shepherds! I am married and my hubs can hold down the fort at home while I come to stay with your pets in your home.
