🐾 About Me Hi there! 🙋♂️ Thank you for considering me. I’ve been on Rover for quite some time now, and I’ve truly loved every minute of meeting new furry friends and spending time with them. I’m a freelance web developer, which means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets. I grew up with a loving golden retriever and an Angora cat. With a mix of personal experience, professional reliability, and a genuine love for animals, I always treat every pet as my own, giving them attention, affection, and care tailored to their needs. I live by Piers Park in Jeffries Point, East Boston, and I’m always happy to connect with fellow pet parents nearby. 🏡 House Sitting Arrival: Since my new roommate has pet allergies, I now only offer house sitting in and around Boston. I’ve been doing this for quite some time and have looked after pets in over 50 homes, so you can rest easy knowing your home and pet are in experienced hands. I’m very comfortable navigating different home setups, appliances, and TVs, so there’s no need for a full tour. That said, I’m always happy to meet in person beforehand and get to know you and your furry friend. If you’re not home when I arrive, clients typically leave me access through a door code, keybox, or occasionally under the mat, whichever you prefer. --- During My Stay: Before your trip, I’ll ask about your pet’s routine, preferences, and any medications they may need. You can share this information however you prefer. Some pet parents send a short message, others leave a note or a printed document. As long as I have what I need to keep your pet happy and comfortable, I’m all set. Because I work remotely, your pet will have company most of the day and receive plenty of attention (and pets 🐶🐱). I’ll happily send updates and photos as often as you’d like, whether once a day, twice a day, or not at all if you’d rather fully disconnect while on vacation. I adjust to your comfort level. --- Departure: Most clients ask me to leave a few hours before they return. Before heading out, I make sure you’ll find your home just as you left it. - Bedding stripped and tidied - Dishes washed and put away - Everything cleaned up after use If requested, I can also water plants, collect mail and packages, and leave them neatly on your table. After leaving, I’ll send a quick message with photos (of the rooms I used) and a short summary of how the stay went, so you’re fully updated and reassured. 🐕 Final Note At the end of the day, my main goal is to keep your pet happy and minimize any separation anxiety they might feel during the first day. Over time, I’ve found that most of my repeat clients continue hiring me for one simple reason: their pets genuinely bond with me and feel comfortable in my care. I love keeping pets happy, engaged, and mentally stimulated. That might mean a walk through nearby parks, gentle tug or fetch sessions, playtime with their favorite toys, or cozy cuddle breaks during my work hours. For cats, I make sure they have interactive playtime, brushing if they enjoy it, and plenty of affection or space depending on their personality. My goal is always to help your pet feel loved, secure, and relaxed until you return.

I have a senior dog who presents some special challenges and I have been reluctant to leave him for any length of time. Until I found Rover and Volkan! Volkan stayed at my home for 5 days and made sure that Eddie was well cared for. He kept me posted on each day's progress with photos and texts. I returned to find my home in order and a happy old dog. Thanks Volkan!
Volkan was the best! He went above and beyond in every way! It was the first time we left our dog overnight and we were worried how he would react. Volkan stayed with him two nights and walked him the next morning. He was able to keep our dog happy & comfortable and contacted us when he had questions or wanted to share info. He communicated with us regularly and sent lots and lots of photos. We are very happy!
Volkan took great care of our anxious senior pup. He shared updates and photos that put us at ease while we were away. And he left our house cleaner than it was when he arrived!
Volkan was fantastic with my very difficult somewhat feral cats. They require insulin shots and extreme patience and he was able to quickly gain the trust of one cat and slowly gain the trust of the other, just as expected/hoped. He followed all of my directions and was understanding and super friendly to work with. He left my apartment clean and tidy and my cats happy and comfortable. I would definitely hire him again!

Volkan was an amazing house-sitter for our Great Dane. He was super-thoughtful and cared for our big goofy dog as if he was his own.

Schedule
When I stay in a client’s home, I follow their pet’s regular routine as closely as possible so everything feels familiar and comforting. I take time to understand their daily schedule, from feeding and walks to playtime and bedtime, and make sure their environment feels calm, safe, and full of positive attentionSince I work remotely, I’m around most of the day, which means your pet will have steady company, lots of affection, and a peaceful home atmosphere. I always treat your home with care and respect, keeping things clean, organized, and exactly how you left them.
