Caring, experienced cat sitter <3
I grew up with cats and lived with them for 17 years, so caring for cats has been a natural part of my life for a long time. Since moving out, I’ve regularly looked after friends’ cats as well. I'm a real "cat person" and I’ve always been fascinated by cats and their behaviour - from reading extensively about feline behaviour to being an enthusiastic reader of a fantasy series about cat clans when I was younger. I really enjoy understanding how cats communicate and what makes each individual cat comfortable. I’m very respectful of their boundaries and never try to force interaction. I prefer to let a cat get to know me at their own pace, and I’m usually surprisingly quick at earning their trust. Whether a cat is very social, shy, independent or playful, I’m happy to adapt to their personality and routine. For me, good cat sitting means making sure a cat feels comfortable and cared for while their person is away. You can trust me with that :)

Vlad took really good care of our cat while we were away. Our cat is usually quite shy around new people, so we were a little nervous about leaving her. He was very patient and let her approach him at her own pace. He followed her feeding routine, spent lots of time playing with her and sent us regular updates and photos. It was clear she was comfortable with him. We felt completely at ease knowing she was in good hands.

Schedule
I’m currently available pretty much all the time, so I can be very flexible and spend as much time with your cat as needed. I’m happy to drop in for a quick visit, stay for a couple of hours, spend the whole day together or even stay overnight to keep them company while you’re away. I’m happy to work around your cat’s usual routine and give them as much attention, playtime or quiet company as they need., whether that means specific feeding times, playtime, medication.

When looking after a cat in their home, I treat both the cat and their space with care and respect. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep to the cat’s usual routine and make sure doors, windows and anything else relevant are secure. I pay attention to how the cat is behaving and will let the owner know if I notice anything unusual. I also respect each cat’s boundaries (some want lots of attention, while others need time and space to feel comfortable with a new person.) My goal is for the cat to feel relaxed in their own home, and for the owner to feel that their pet and home are in good hands.
