I believe many pets feel safest and most comfortable in their familiar environment, so I focus on providing calm, reliable care there. I’d like to know your pet’s routine, personality, likes and dislikes, any triggers, medical needs, feeding instructions, and anything that helps them feel safe and comfortable. For dogs, it’s especially helpful to know about leash behavior, reactivity, and commands. For cats, I like to know how they prefer to be approached, where they like to hide, and what kind of interaction they enjoy.
A typical day
A typical day depends on the pet’s personality, energy level, and routine. For dogs, that can include walks, playtime, potty breaks, feeding, water refresh, and of course attention and affection. If your dog is energetic, I’m happy to keep them active and engaged. Happy to take your pup on a hike or to the beach, if allowed. If they are older or more laid-back, I’m just as happy to keep things calm and comfortable. For cats, I’m happy to do feeding, litter box care, playtime, brushing, cuddles if they want them, and quiet companionship if they prefer their space. I enjoy interacting with cats on their terms and making them feel safe and relaxed. My goal is to make pets feel comfortable, cared for, and loved - and to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away.

Animals have been part of my life forever, and I truly love them. I have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats, including pets with behavioral challenges. My own dog and cat taught me a lot about patience, consistency, reading body language, and earning an animal’s trust. I’ve also worked with animal behavior specialists to better understand and support them, and I’m currently studying animal psychology on my own. I know how to approach pets in a way that helps them feel safe and comfortable, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that means playing, petting, brushing, or attending to their needs as needed. I know that cats are all very different, and I’m happy to go at their pace. I also understand how stressful it can feel to trust someone else with your pet, because I’ve been on that side too - I had to hire Rover walkers for my own dog when I was injured. So I do not take that trust lightly. I’m cautious, attentive, and I follow instructions precisely. I keep dogs safely leashed unless told otherwise, never let them out of my sight, and make sure they get not just basic care, but real affection, attention, and thoughtful handling. Your pet will be treated like family with me - safe, loved, and cared for as if they were my own.
