"S/he doesn't usually like new people that fast!" - friends, families, neighbors, and strangers who own a beloved pet Hi, I'm Vivien and I'd love to clue you in as to why pets likely warm up to me so easily! I grew up raising hamsters, rabbits, and cats. It was a wonderful upbringing as I was able to develop a deep sense of curiosity and empathy for these cute creatures. Fast forward to adulthood and starting in 2021, I have been pet and house sitting for regular clients across the Peninsula and South Bay; a 70-lb Springer Spaniel here, a pair of energetic English Bulldogs there, a diabetic cat, etc. With my dogs, I've taken them on walks and runs (0.5-3 miles), dropped off at vet/groomer, stayed with one at urgent care, administered medicine, gave lots of pets, and even accidentally taught one a trick. Since I've loved pets from a young age, I also have experience working with cats at a non-profit that rescues, socializes, and nurtures neonatal kittens and older felines of all ages. I work remotely so am allowed much flexibility to care for your pet(s) and am based out of San Jose. I'm happy to give you the peace of mind that your pet(s) and home are in good hands while you are away. I treat everyone's house as if it were my own; fulfilled by cleanliness as much as I am by animals. I've been told it's as if I wasn't even there! Additionally, I travel all over the Bay. I love this place and would enjoy nothing more than watching your pet exploring the local neighborhood (if adventurousness is applicable, home body pets are fine too ◡̈ ) Please reach out if you have any questions!

Safety, trust & environment
Being able to provide care in the pet's home is a huge advantage. You can be assured of your pet's utmost comfort getting to stay at their stomping grounds and having all their routines still in place (it's their throne, not mine). I typically follow along with the routines described to me by the pet's masters, I mean, owners. These include feeding times, exercise/play needs, and sleep (i.e. crate/bed for dogs).

Vivien did great with our hyper (and somewhat anxious) pup when we had to leave for a weekend. She communicated great with us & was patient & sweet with our dog, who can be a handful! Our pup absolutely loved her. She left our home spotless and we will definitely use her services more in the future!
We had a great experience with Vivien, who stayed in our home for nine days to care for our pets. Her communication was excellent—she kept us updated regularly with messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. She was also able to confidently administer insulin to our diabetic cat, which was a huge relief. Vivien was responsible, respectful of our space, and gave all of our pets plenty of attention and care. We came home to a clean house and happy animals. We’d gladly have her back and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive pet sitter.
Vivien has been caring for our Springer Spaniel for 3 years now. We're glad we can rely on her for every holiday. even summer vacations over 4 weeks we're gone. Sometimes short trips over the weekend, like to 4 days. She is always happy to assist. She reaches out to us asking if we need any upcoming help, anticipates our needs and prioritizes us in her schedule. Dog is always happy and in a great mood when we get back. We have a weekly cleaner but still, Vivien leaves our home "spick and span". Exercises our dog a lot, as needed. She is quick to text us for any needs/updates. Also a huge plus to have her looking after the home.. letting contractors in, mail, receiving important packages, or letting friends&family drop off/pick up things. Would recommend her! Makes our vacations so much easier knowing we have a reliable sitter like Vivien for the house and dog.

Schedule
I work full-time from home and am fortunately able to be with your pet during the day! I step out a few hours at a time to get in some exercise at places they sadly can't join me at but would be more than stoked to take them for walks/runs around the neighborhood or even a hike hitting the many awesome trails of the Bay Area. I lead a very active lifestyle but always make time for the important things in my world, including your beloved pet.
