I promise I’ve seen crazier :)
I’ve volunteered at a private shelter for 5 years and have successfully fostered 3 dogs, 2 were adopted and my last one was for end of life care. I have worked with several different animals, mainly cats, dogs, and horses. The biggest dog I have cared for is 130 lb, the smallest is 3 lb. I have experience giving medication and senior care. I have completed several training courses with my personal dog. My experience working with horses shapes much of my perspective on animal care. While I am not certified in animal behavior, I have learned to stay calm and watch the body language of whatever animal I am working with. Every pet is different and therefore needs a sitter who can change their own behavior to match. My personal dog, Fable, is reactive. She gets overstimulated with certain triggers and needs me to be calm and confident in order for her to relax. My first two foster dogs were both extremely anxious. While their reactions to the world are different to Fable, they needed the same calm reassurance from me. Not every dog needs a specially curated persona to be happy and relaxed, but every sitter should have that ability.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a studio with a large dog, so I cannot offer overnights. However, I know how important it is that you trust me not only with your pet but also in your home. I will do my utmost best to leave your home the same if not better than when I arrived. I am not afraid to clean up messes, as happens frequently with the more nervous furry friends.

Vivian was my very first sitter, and since it was also my first time using Rover, I was a little nervous and had quite a few requests. She followed all of my requests carefully, took wonderful care of Chutnoon, and spent lots of time playing with her. I'm so grateful to Vivian and would definitely love to book her again in the future!

Vivian was amazing! Never once had to request any additional information or worry that my dog, Fynn, was unhappy. Super accountable and knows what she is doing.
Vivian was very communicative and when my building was under construction and our key handoff arrangement changed she was flexible and helped me figure out alternatives to our original arrangement. She sent detailed check-in cards. Everything she did with my cat and any she followed all my instructions perfectly and took a lot of photos and notes on the visit. Thank you Vivian!

Schedule
I’m currently a junior at Georgia tech and have one dog. My calendar is usually up to date but I always strive to work around the needs of your pet. I do have a car so I will show up rain or shine :)
