I have a cat and know how sneaky they can be, so I take care to make sure they don't slip out the front door when I'm going and leaving and make sure all windows are secure and that nothing that can harm them is out by the time I leave. If you keep pet food in the fridge / freezer, I'll make sure those are closed securely as well. As for dogs, I will not take them to dog parks without your permission and will follow all instructions when taking them out in public (keep them away from other dogs, loud streets if it makes them nervous, etc.)

Please let me know if your cat is shy and if they’re open to me trying to get to know them or if they prefer being left alone during the visit. For dog walking, definitely let me know if your dog is reactive to anything and if there are places and things to avoid during the walk.

For cats, I’ll let them decide if they want to play, sit and get some attention, or be completely left alone. Treats also never hurt if allowed! For dogs, happy to make the walk as long or short as they need and supplement it with play time

Hi, I'm Vivian! I am a lifelong animal lover who grew up with a little terrier mix and now lives with the sweetest tuxedo kitty. We had our family dog from when he was a puppy to 17 years old, so I'm very familiar with dogs of all life stages. I'm a more recent cat lover - my roommate got a kitten during the pandemic, which led me to getting my own in 2021 and I'm now a full-fledged cat mom. I've pet sat for a variety of breeds and ages of dogs and cats over the years and love spending time with them doing anything from quiet quality time at home to hour-long walks exploring the city. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions and I'm looking forward to meeting your pets! I'm currently SF-based and can do walks and drop-ins in most SF locations.

Vivian did an excellent job with all the tasks we requested. Our cats are quite introverted and usually take time to warm up to people, but from the photos she sent, I could tell they trusted and liked her. She also shared pictures of our dog during their walks, and even through the photos, I could see how happy and relaxed he was. If we need to hire a sitter again in the future, I would definitely choose Vivian. Highly recommended!
