Safety, trust & environment
I have found most pets prefer to be in their own homes and around familiar sights and sounds to ease their transition from their primary caregiver to me. For this reason, I highly recommend in home pet care. I am willing to discuss pet care in my home on a case by case basis.
Information Viridianne R. would like to know about your pet
It is most important to know of any behavioral challenges with your pet(s). I know it can be uncomfortable to point out our ‘perfect babies’ imperfections and sometimes hard to remember because that’s just ‘how they are’ and some behaviors may be easily overlooked. Please take a moment to really think about your pet and any behaviors I need to be aware of such as: fear of certain sounds or places or people, possessiveness around food and/or toys, any challenges with other pets in the home-does everyone get along great all the time or are their certain interactions I should be on the lookout for and how best to achieve a peaceful and safe solution. How does your pet react to animals they are unfamiliar with? Do they behave differently in the home vs outside in your yard vs. walking in unfamiliar territory? Does your pet walk on a leash and if so, do they know the command to heel? If they do, can you rely on them to respond to commands? If so, will your pet respond to another person commanding? Are there any weather conditions that may pose a challenge for your pet? Any injuries, illness, or special care? These are just a few questions I will be sure to go over when I meet and greet you and your pet before caring for them. No amount of information is too much or insignificant. I care about your pets!
A typical day
I like to engage the animals I care for with lots of pets and conversation, playtime, building skills when appropriate, and providing a calm and loving presence in the absence of their owners. The more information you are able to provide regarding your fur friend’s typical schedule, the more I can work towards accommodating their likes and dislikes more specifically.

30+yrs loving experience w/in home
Pet care experience
My love of pet care began at age 14 when I got my 1st job working with a vet. I bicycled each morning at 6 am before school to clean cages. My love and determination has not waned over the years and I have continued, off and on, to work with vets and offer in home pet care to a diverse group of clients from birds to wolfhounds for the last 30+ years.. I am looking forward to meeting your fur family and discussing how I might provide the best care for your loved ones in your absence. As a fellow user of this service, I understand the desire for an experienced, trust worthy, capable, level headed care giver with a degree of common sense. My aim is to provide the same level of care that I would expect my family to receive as well. Your sense of confidence in my abilities to care for your family is my #1 priority. I bi-locate between Greensboro and Danville and am available in both locations and between. I look forward to speaking with you!

Reviews

Viridianne treated our pets as she would around her own, Sending us pictures to show how happy they are and just very considerate of our pets needs. very professional, 10 out of 10.

V is the best! Always goes above and beyond, and the fur babies love her! We know we are leaving them in good hands while we are gone.
Vee did an outstanding job caring for our two dogs while we were away on vacation. She stayed at our home and treated our dogs with the same care and attention that we do. Throughout our trip, we had complete peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. When we returned, our dogs were happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. Vee was reliable, responsible, and respectful of our home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely trust her with our pets again in the future. We highly recommend Vee to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter. We will definitely be using her services again!
Very caring sitter who we feel very comfortable leaving our dog, cat and home in her care while we are traveling. Highly rate her!
