Safety, trust & environment

Since I am home most of the day, every day, your pups will get lots of play time and room to run. We have 3 acres and a good chunk is fenced in. We also have cameras set up to keep an eye on the pups when we are not home - running errands, dinner in town, etc. If you would like, we can discuss extra training (leash work, basic commands, etc) as I have experience in that area as well. We live 9 mins away from the airport and are a great drop off/pick up location for your furry friends!

Information Virginia W. would like to know about your pet

They need to be good with other dogs and not aggressive with children. We have 2 kiddos and often have people over throughout the week. They also need to be comfortable with being led by their collar - after having many close encounters, and being bit once, due to dogs not liking their collars touched, they need to be okay with me leading them somewhere if I need to (going outside, going into their crate, etc.). Thanks! I am currently not accepting huskies at this time. My fences are too low for that particular breed and every (I mean EVERY) single one I’ve had here has jumped my fence multiple times. We have plans to rebuild 5-6ft fencing and hope that will be completed sometime next year! Please have a collar and tags (with your information) on your dog when he/she is here. If they come without a tag, I have a back up tag and collar I will put on them with my information just in case. Bring their own food and anything else they needs - treats, bones, medications, etc. What are their sleeping arrangements: crate, bed, floor, etc.

A typical day

We have a big fenced area, so your pup would have free range of the whole yard, plus we recently installed a dog door into our garage where they have full roam of and can cool off, snooze and relax in that area. Plenty of water and shade provided too! If a dog is good off leash and loves to play fetch, I’m happy to throw the ball or frisbee in our surrounding acreage with our pups, who are great off leash.

Pet care experience

I've worked with dogs, cats, and horses since I was 5 years old. I grew up with a black lab and he was the best dog a girl could ask for! I was also blessed to work with sled dogs while living in Alaska and even started a dog business, with my sister, for a few years. My grandma is a dog show judge and former breeder, so it runs in the family!

Virginia was amazing and helped me so much I was here to spread my husband's ashes and she was so accommodating and Amos had a great time in a huge backyard with other puppers.

We felt at ease knowing he was in good hands. Our dog had such a fun time. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our dog! Highly recommend!
