Because I work from home 3 or more days per week, your dog will have real companionship throughout the day. Safety, trust & environment

Our home is quiet, predictable, and designed around comfort. I do not take large groups, so dogs aren’t overwhelmed or put into unpredictable social situations. 🐕 Dogs sleep where they’re most comfortable (crate, dog bed, couch, or with your home routine in mind) 🐶 Slow introductions to my pets, who are friendly seniors with calm energy 🚫 No forced play or pressure to socialize (play time can be solo in a gated yard) 🐱 Our cat has his own safe spaces and is experienced with respectful dogs 🪑 Gates and fully separate areas available if a dog needs their own space (we have three floors to our house, plenty of space for everyone) 🧼 Clean water, fresh bowls, and tidy shared spaces Whether your dog is confident or nervous, I make sure they feel secure, not rushed.

Please share anything that will help your dog feel safe and understood. That includes: 🐾 Their routine at home (meals, walks, naps) 😌 Any anxieties, triggers, or comfort items 🐶 How they react to other pets and new environments 💊 Medication needs or mobility limitations 🛏️ Sleep preferences (crate, bed, quiet room, etc.) If your dog prefers no interaction with other pets, needs extra space, or has special handling or mobility needs let me know — I tailor the environment to support them.

A typical day

A typical day here is relaxed but structured. We start with a morning walk, breakfast, and a comfortable settle while I work. Throughout the day, your dog gets companionship, short walks, structured rest, and optional enrichment like puzzle toys, foraging games, or gentle play. We pay attention to your dog’s pace — active dogs get more engagement, older or anxious dogs get more quiet time and comfort. Evenings are peaceful: dinner, potty breaks, and calm wind-down time before sleep. A comfortable rhythm your dog can rely on.

💗A Calm Home for Sensitive Dogs ✨

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Virginia 👋 I specialize in calm, routine-focused boarding and day care for dogs who prefer quiet companionship over chaotic dog parks or busy daycare crowds. I work from home most of the week, and your dog will spend their time with an adult who understands pacing, boundaries, and emotional comfort. I share my home with two gentle senior dogs and a cat who enjoys his own quiet space. Our house is a calm environment, and we keep a predictable routine with walks, naps, enrichment, and relaxed evenings. I have experience with senior pets, shy dogs, recently adopted dogs, dogs with separation anxiety, and dogs who need medication or mobility support. My approach is warm, patient, and based on understanding how dogs communicate stress and comfort through body language. 🐶 What Makes My Care Different 🌿 Low-volume care (only a few dogs at a time) 🏡 Steady companionship while I work from home 🛏️ Built-in nap and rest time (no forced activity) 🚶‍♂️ Walks paced to your dog’s energy or mobility 🧩 Calm enrichment like sniff games and puzzle toys 💛 Respect for your dog’s pace and boundaries Great match for: senior dogs, shy dogs, nervous or recently adopted dogs, low-energy dogs, and pups who don’t enjoy crowded daycare environments.
