About Virginia T.

Safety, trust & environment
I am CPR certified for dogs and cats, and have taken several pet first-aid and safety courses. If you'd like verification, please let me know! While I will use these skills as needed in emergency situations, my normal routine with your pet will follow your rules and guidelines as their owner. I am more than happy to come for a meet & greet before services if your pet may be nervous/aggressive around new people. My own pup struggles with anxiety, and I make sure she's 100% comfortable before leaving her in someone's care. I'll bring plenty of treats and toys to help win them over :)
Information Virginia T. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know general house rules ahead of our visit (no getting on furniture, not allowed in X room, don't walk on X side of neighborhood, etc.) Please make sure to provide details regarding your pets feeding scheduling, amount of food at feeding, where food is located, and any medication that needs to be included/taken at meal time. If your pet has specific medical needs, please be sure to include as much information as possible so I make sure they take medicine on time and are always comfortable. If there are any behaviors your pet shows in certain situations (leash reactive, nipping when playing, etc.), please let me know before visiting. IMPORTANT NOTE: If I am walking your pet, I will always solely walk them alone without additional persons or allowing other people/dogs to interact with them. While I am sure your pet is super cute (and I'll tell them plenty don't worry), their safety in my care is the most important.
A typical day
My goal for the time your pet is in my care is to keep them the most happy and comfortable - and no one knows them better than you! Please let me know your dogs favorite toys, treats, games, or places to go before our visit so I can incorporate them in our time together. If there are any rules I need to be aware of (limited amount of treats, places they can't go, toys they can't have), please let me know ahead of time so I keep them happy and safe.

Pet care experience
I have had a passion for animals since I was little, often playing vet or zookeeper with the stuffed animals in my home (my real pets weren't as patient playing pretend). Growing up, I helped care for 4 cats and 2 dogs, one Border Collie with high energy and consistent exercise, and a Pomeranian with special needs. During college, I became an animal foster with my local humane society, taking in a total of 4 dogs and 3 cats during my undergraduate years, all with their own special exercise, dietary, and medical needs. I have previously worked locally for several pet services and am happy to provide any references you'd like. I finally decided to get a furry friend of my own, and adopted my dog Willow during the pandemic in 2020. She is my my whole world, and I'll make sure to love and care for your pets as if they were my own. Let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or need more information about my services. I can't wait to meet your babies soon :)
Reviews

Virginia has been walking my dog skye for a few months now, she lives, super helpful in detailed comments, and upload the cutest pictures of my baby. She’s been super reliable and I enjoy having her.
