I’ve had dogs throughout my life and have extensive experience caring for both dogs and cats. Over the years, I’ve pet-sat for clients of the veterinary hospital where I worked, as well as for friends and family. I grew up raising Quarter Horses and caring for goats, chickens, cattle, lizards, and freshwater aquariums. During my 11 years as an agricultural educator, I ran my school’s doggie daycare program and cared for many other species, including snakes, geckos, turtles, amphibians, saltwater aquariums, and pocket pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, rats, and hamsters. I also worked in a small-animal veterinary hospital, where I gained experience administering medications and supporting animals with a variety of care needs. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and I’m committed to providing attentive, dependable, and compassionate care so your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away.

I live with three friendly Shih Tzus who are accustomed to being around other dogs. I also have a separate living area, so your pet can have their own comfortable space or remain separated from the other dogs if needed. I will follow your pet’s usual routines and introduce them to the household carefully, always prioritizing their safety and comfort.

Virginia is our only trusted caregiver for our two fur babies! They absolutely love her and so do we. Our older dog, Flower, is medically complex and Virginia manages her routine and medications like a professional. One of the reasons we decided to use Virginia is because she had worked for a vet’s office and was very knowledgeable about how to help our sweet Flower girl. She also makes sure our puppy, Maggie, gets lots of love and attention and lots of walks and playtime to get her energy out. We are so happy to have found someone we trust and we can not recommend her enough.
I’ve known Virginia for over a decade, and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her with my pets. She has cared for my pets while I’ve been away, and I always have complete peace of mind knowing they’re in her care. Schedule
I currently work remotely and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to give your pet plenty of attention throughout the day. I can accommodate regular walks, playtime, feeding schedules, medication routines, and bathroom breaks based on your pet’s individual needs. I’m also available for many weekends and holidays, depending on advance booking.
