Pet care fits very naturally into my schedule. I am currently a student at WSU and intern at the Whitman County Humane Society, which allows me flexibility throughout the week. I plan my schedule carefully so that pets receive consistent care, attention, exercise, and companionship. Whether it’s feeding, walks, medication administration, playtime, or simply spending quality time with them, I make sure every pet’s needs are met and that they feel safe and comfortable while their family is away.

Safety, trust & environment
My top priorities are safety, trust, and communication. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions closely and maintain the pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. I pay close attention to behavior changes, appetite, and overall wellbeing. With my experience working in veterinary medicine, animal shelters, and dog daycare, I am comfortable handling pets with different personalities, ages, and medical needs. I provide regular updates, photos, and prompt communication so owners can feel confident that their pets are receiving excellent care.
Information Violet H. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, I like to know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, medications, allergies, veterinary information, favorite activities, fears, triggers, and any behavioral concerns. I also appreciate knowing how they interact with other people, animals, and unfamiliar situations. The more information I have beforehand, the better I can provide personalized care and ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved during my time with them.
A typical day
A typical day depends on the individual pet, but it usually includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, enrichment activities, playtime, cuddles, and plenty of supervision. I enjoy incorporating games, training reinforcement, sniff walks, and mental stimulation to keep pets engaged. For senior pets or lower-energy animals, I focus on gentle exercise, comfort, and companionship. My goal is to make sure every pet is happy, active, and comfortable while their family is away.

Pet care experience
I’ve spent years caring for animals of all kinds and would love the opportunity to care for your pets as if they were my own! I’m currently majoring in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine at WSU and am interning at the Whitman County Humane Society. My experience includes owning and caring for a wide variety of animals, including frogs, chameleons, chinchillas, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, dogs, and more. I currently have two dogs of my own—a Chihuahua mix and an Australian Cattle Dog mix. I volunteered at the Humane Society of Utah for two years and worked at a doggy daycare for nearly a year, where I learned a great deal about dog behavior, socialization, and training. Before moving to Washington, I also worked as a receptionist at an emergency veterinary hospital for 1.5 years. That experience gave me valuable knowledge of veterinary medicine and helped me become comfortable working with pets of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I genuinely love helping both pets and their people, and I enjoy putting my veterinary and animal care experience to good use. I have a huge soft spot for senior pets and understand the extra patience, attention, and care they often need. I’m open to caring for all kinds of animals and would love more opportunities to work with pets of every species, age, and condition. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness will always be my top priorities!
