Hi, I’m Vikki! I’m a lifelong dog lover with a huge amount of experience caring for and walking dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities. I’ve had dogs throughout my life, and my passion for caring for them started at a young age. From just 11 years old, I was walking dogs for neighbours, and over the years I’ve had the opportunity to work with all different breeds — from German Shepherds and Border Collies to Bull Terriers, Labradors and everything in between. I understand that every dog is different. Some love nothing more than a long, energetic walk, while others prefer a slower stroll, lots of cuddles or simply having someone around to keep them company. I take the time to get to know each dog and make sure their individual needs, personality and routine are respected. I’m confident handling both large and small dogs and understand the importance of responsible, reliable and safe care. Your dog’s wellbeing is always my priority, whether we’re out on a walk, having a play, or enjoying some quiet time at home. I also have a full, current DBS check, giving you extra peace of mind that your pets are in trustworthy hands. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, a friendly drop-in visit, or some company while you’re away, I’d love to help look after them. 🐶❤️

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for your pet in their own home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable and happy while sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine. I always supervise dogs when they are outside, taking extra care to make sure they cannot escape from gardens or get over fences. On walks, I will always keep dogs on a lead unless they have excellent recall and I have their owner’s permission to let them off. I’ll also work closely with you regarding your dog’s behaviour around other dogs. If your dog isn’t comfortable around other dogs, I’ll do my best to avoid busy areas and unnecessary interactions. Equally, if you’d like your dog to have positive social experiences around other dogs, I’m happy to incorporate this safely into their walks. I’m also more than happy to do more than simply walk your dog. Whether they want to play, have some extra attention and cuddles, explore somewhere new, or visit a secure dog field, I’m happy to tailor their time with me to what they enjoy. I can also take your dog to pre-booked appointments or activities, such as secure fields, wherever needed. Ultimately, I want every dog in my care to have a safe, enjoyable and enriching experience — while giving you complete peace of mind that they’re being looked after as if they were my own. ❤️🐶

Vikki was so accommodating in helping us out with a last minute dog sitting request for our girl Nellie. She arranged a meet and greet the day before and she was calm, friendly and helped us feel relaxed. This gave us peace of mind knowing Nellie would have a fun couple of hours with Vikki and I could enjoy a much needed trip with my family. There is no one else I would trust my dog with! Vikki is amazing with my boy, he’s a big strong Labrador and she is so patient and gentle with him! When she has to look after him, not only does she take him for a walk, give him love and play with him, she also does training with him! she sends me updates and pictures so I feel reassured, honestly I highly recommend vikki!

Schedule
I’m lucky enough to have a very flexible routine, which means I can fit pet care around my day and give your pets plenty of time and attention. I’m usually up and about between 7–8am and start my day by taking my own dog for his morning walk. After that, I’m generally available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins and pet sitting. I mainly work from home in the evenings, so I’m usually around during the day and aim to finish work by around 7pm. I occasionally need to go into work, usually no more than two days in a week, and not necessarily every week, so my availability can vary slightly. I also have my own dog, so I make sure he isn’t left alone for long periods — but this is one of the reasons Rover works so well for me, as I can build pet care around my existing routine. I’m very flexible and happy to work around your needs wherever possible. If you’re unsure whether I can accommodate your requirements, please just send me a message!
