I’ve been drawn to dogs my whole life, and currently own 2 crazies of my own. I started fostering dogs on and off for the past year and love the connection I’ve made with the dogs that come through my door. It gives me purpose to make them feel safe and secure while they wait for their forever home. Through fostering I’ve seen lots of different personalities come through my door and don’t shy away from fearful dogs. In fact those are the ones I love most! Pepper, my rescued border collie mix, is a fearful/reactive dog. I have learned a ton about fearful dogs because of her. I only use positive reinforcement training and am very sensitive to dogs that are fearful and/or reactive. Whether your dog is scared/reactive towards people, other dogs, noises, etc., I am more than willing to care for them with all of the instructions that you provide. I am extremely particular about the people I choose to care for my dog, and completely sympathize with the worries others may have with their own pet. Aside from that, I am flexible with times and days for availability, and am very willing to do drop in care. I would love to host for overnight care but I require that we have an in depth conversation about the personality of your pet(s), as my dog Pepper is dog-selective and I want to make sure I can provide a comfortable vacation for your pet. If need be I can keep my dog and yours separate. My other dog, Ollie, on the other hand is very friendly and loves a playmate! I’m a speech therapist in a school district, so I am away from the house roughly 8am-4pm. I am available any other hours to spend my time loving and caring for your pet!
