Pet care experience

Safe, Experienced & Attentive Care

Hi, I'm Victoria! I'm a college student with a lifelong love for animals. My passion for pet care led me to work with A Good Dog Rescue in Westchester County, where I helped foster and rehome dogs rescued from high-kill shelters and euthanasia lists. I love pet sitting because every animal has its own personality, and I genuinely enjoy building trust with them and making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm companion, I adapt to their needs and routine. What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I provide. I treat every pet as if they were my own, communicate regularly with updates and photos, and have experience caring for rescue dogs, senior pets, and animals that need extra patience. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, traveling, exploring new coffee shops, baking, thrifting, and spending time outdoors. My love for animals has always been a big part of who I am, and I would be honored to care for your pets as if they were my own.

Rosie was well taken care of! She came back exhausted (which was great) and Victoria sent picture along the way to show how nice of a time Rosie was having. Would recommend!

Dog Walking • Mar 23, 2025

Victoria has taken our dog Nico on countless walks now and we are so grateful that she is on Rover. She is always responsive and punctual and updates us on the walk. And Nico loves her! A few times we have asked her last minute and she has been able to do it. I highly recommend her!

Drop-In Visits • Mar 02, 2025

I’m so happy to have found Victoria for a last minute home visit. I was nervous because I’ve never had a stranger come and Rumi is a rescue who is still getting used to new people and situations. Victoria responded quickly to my request and was confident she’s familiar working with reactive dogs. She was in touch regularly and they had a great time together! If I need help in the future I will definitely use her services again. 😀

Schedule

I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care throughout the day. I build my daily routine around the pets I'm caring for, making sure they receive consistent attention, exercise, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. Whether it's early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening visits, I am committed to providing reliable care and keeping pet parents updated with regular photos and messages. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so I make it an important part of my week rather than fitting it in around other commitments.

Safety, trust & environment

My top priority is making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while maintaining the routines they're familiar with. In a client's home, I follow all instructions carefully regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, exercise, and house rules. I make sure pets have fresh water, plenty of attention, and a clean environment. I respect each pet's personality and comfort level, whether they prefer active play or quiet companionship. I also provide at least three updates per day: morning, afternoon, and evening, with photos and notes so owners can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for. If I notice anything unusual, I communicate immediately.

A typical day

Before caring for a pet, I'd love to know about any health conditions, medications, allergies, dietary restrictions, feeding schedules, and emergency veterinary information. It's also helpful to learn about their personality. Knowing their favorite toys, treats, sleeping habits, and comfort items helps me provide a personalized experience and make their time away from you as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
