I’ve wanted a cat for as long as I can remember, and after welcoming my own cat into my family last year, I’ve fallen even more in love with how much personality and individuality every cat has. I’ve also cared for friends’ cats through the years and grew up occasionally helping stray cats. One of my favorite things about caring for cats is getting to know them on their terms. I’ve found that even cats who are normally nervous around new people often warm up to me quickly. I’m patient and attentive to their boundaries, and I’ll let a cat sniff me, approach me, and decide when they’re comfortable with petting or play rather than forcing interaction. Caring for my own cat has taught me how important patience, consistency, and attention to detail are. I’m comfortable with everyday care like feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, and playtime, and I’m happy to follow each owner’s specific instructions for their cat’s routine and care. My cat is truly my little girl, and she teaches me something new every day. I feel incredibly lucky to experience the companionship and love that comes with having a cat, and I’d love the opportunity to give that same patience, attention, and affection to your cat while you’re away.
