I run my own business so my schedule is flexible and variable from day to day. During the week, I have time in the mornings, evenings and will typically have a break at some point during the day during which I can attend to your dog. Some days I only work a part-time work schedule and can spend that additional free time with your pup. I can give you more specifics based on the dates that you request. Weekends can be fully devoted fully to your dog!

In Hawaiian the word kahu means someone entrusted with the safekeeping of something precious or cherished. Kahu is a guardian, protector, steward, beloved attendant. I was this for my dog and I will be this for yours as well when they are in my care. As a previous dog mom myself, I know just how important this is. I am available to do boarding in your home to lessen the stress on your dog while you are away and keep their routine as consistent as possible.

A typical day
When I had my dog, she was basically included in everything that I did so I am used to integrating a pup into my life's schedule- whether it's going to the beach, taking a hike, camping, doing work at a coffee shop, or just snuggles on the couch. I love being outdoors and, honestly, it is so much more fun with a dog! If they are allowed, I will bring them! I know all of the dog friendly spots in SB. Not only will I keep your dog safe but I will make sure that they have fun and get a lot of love and attention while you are away.

Pet care experience
I had a dog of my own for 14 wonderful years. When I first rescued her she was too scared to even walk up my driveway let alone go for a walk in the neighborhood. I devoted myself to doing a lot of research about dog behavior and training to be able to help her. She became a well adjusted dog who was well trained, socialized and even traveled all over the country with me! I cared for her in her senior years with all my heart. I wouldn't leave her with just anyone so I understand the importance of finding a pet caregiver who who you are comfortable with and will provide your fur baby with exceptional care. I have done some fostering and helped with the dogs training and socialization. It was hard to see them go but they were placed in loving forever homes!

Victoria was just amazing. Our two dogs absolutely adore her. Love the way she always greets them down at their level. We will definitely be using her again. Highly recommended.
This was the second time Victoria watched our dog Brodie and stayed at our home, and once again she was fantastic. She was respectful of our space, kept everything neat and clean, and most importantly took great care of Brodie. He was happy and relaxed when we got back, which says everything. She was also very accommodating with her time and flexible regarding when we’d be returning, which we truly appreciated. We would absolutely have Victoria watch Brodie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter. Did I already mention that Victoria took some of the best photos of our lil Brodie???
Victoria did perfectly with our older pup, bonding with her and patiently accommodating her idiosyncracies. She thoughtfully took the time to meet her at our home ahead of the housesit, which helped us plan for it. We appreciated the updates and photos, too - very reassuring. We will book with her again and highly recommend her.
