Pet care experience
Growing up a farm is the reason for my love of animals. With any new pet I meet, I'm patient and attentive to understand their personalities to ensure they feel safe whether I'm caring for them in their home, or walking. I understand it takes time to build trust with someone's fur baby; especially with someone new who's entering into their space. My goal is to give your pet the love, care and attention they desire, and to put your mind at ease knowing they are safe. ----- With dogs, I have experience raising and training puppies, caring for female dogs who have given birth or are in heat, teaching and reinforcing basic commands, leash training, walking fear reactant, shy, hyper, & social dogs. As well as providing senior dog care, giving daily medication doses, and end of life care. With cats, I fully understand some are social, and there are some who want nothing to do with you. I focus on what the parent wants me to do in regards to care for their cat, and I take my social cues for approaching or playing with them from the cat themselves.
Reviews
Victoria is the best! She dealt with a lockbox issue over the holidays and made sure our cat always got her meds. Would definitely recommend!
Victoria is sweet, punctual and trustworthy. She’s cared for my dog and cat twice now and has been amazing. I definitely recommend her.
Victoria was super friendly and reliable, and even made my shy cat feel comfortable getting her daily meds!
Victoria was amazing with our cat and provided informative, thoughtful updates. And adorable pictures! Would definitely recommend her.

I believe it's important to have a dialogue with the parent about any restrictions or required medical needs. As well as toys & treats that make their fur baby happy.
Information Victoria M. would like to know about your pet
Before pet sitting or dog walking I believe it’s important to have a gauge on your dogs temperament (are they social or fearful of other dogs), any medications they’re on or dietary restrictions, and if there are any goals or commands you are working on with your furry baby. Such as, heel, lease pulling, or jumping.
A typical day
I personally love to see the route your dog typically walks. It helps me understand what’s familiar to them and what they’re comfortable with. Once I see them in action, I’m able to come up with ideas for other walking destinations, toys and treats (with your approval) they might enjoy! For example, I have one dog who is very social, and several times a week I take her to Central Park. She loves to interact with other dogs while walking and roll around/lay in the grass to sunbathe before we head home. On the other hand, my other dog is fear reactant, and she enjoys walking in the early morning when there’s less foot/paw traffic, and we can utilize the grass to play fetch without crossing paths with too many dogs.

I'm a mom, work remotely part-time, and a full-time grad student. I'm trying to do it all while providing a stable life for my kids in the city. When I'm not working, I love long distance running (I just ran a half marathon). While my schedule seems busy, I assure you I have plenty of availability for pet care and can accommodate last minute requests for assistance during the week and weekend.
