For the last few years I have been dog (and other pet) sitting, (and often housesitting too) for friends and extended network. My partner David and I love dogs but we both travel too much to have our own, so this has become part of my future portfolio career, combining my consulting work with my passions for dogs and exercise. Since I work from home I can be very flexible with timings and requirements. Expect lots of questions from me upfront so I can get to know your Dog’s individual needs and personality as quickly as possible. I’d love to meet you and your dog in your home, and share a walk together (no charge) before we make commitments beyond a drop in. Canine first aid certification and DBS checked.

I wouldn’t currently host your dog in my house as we are going through a renovation project, but this would be something I would look to offer in the future, as it was so much fun hosting doggies in the past.

My young working cocker spaniel is always welcomed by Vicky with the big fuss that she loves, followed by Vicky then checking that Coni is listening by asking her to ‘sit’ or ‘give a paw’. Vicky has a great balance of being in control while also warmly showing that she cares. When she first met our puppy Vicky was attentive to the needs of us/our dog and she asked about preferences, behaviour style and key things like how she behaves off lead and if she is good with recall. This filled us with the confidence we needed to enlist Vicky’s dog walking and sitting services. Vicky has always embraced the energy that our young working cocker spaniel has and Coni comes back content and well exercised. I highly recommend Vicky as a dog sitter/walker.
Victoria looked after our dog Olive at her house and Olive had a fabulous week. I was able to take Olive for a pre visit so it was not an unknown setting which was really helpful. I was confident that Olive was safe and getting lots of attention from Vicky, daily walks and it was very much home from home. I would highly recommend Victoria to care for your pet.

Schedule
I’d be very happy to get into a regular routine with a few local clients, and for the next few months I can be very flexible with timings and availability, so if you’ve got a requirement that doesn’t fit exactly into one of the boxes, let’s still have a chat!
