Pet care experience

Animals are my favorite people ❤

I can't remember a time when we didn't have a dog at home. Or two. We've also had a cat, turtles, fish, a frog, and hermit crabs. I grew up around animals and they were as much a part of the family as anyone else. I helped to take care of them when I was old enough. From feeding and going on walks, to distracting my anxious dog on the 4th of July when he hated the fireworks. A few years ago, I dog-sat for a family friend, dropping by several times a day to take their dogs out for a walk, give them food, and keep them company while they played. It was my favorite job. I remember thinking, 'if only I could do this full-time.' Now I've moved away and I'm in an apartment - where sadly I can't have a pet. But finding Rover made me realize I can help others, meet new animals, and have my favorite job again at the same time!

Safety, trust & environment

I know you are trusting me both with your pets and your home. I will make sure to leave your house as I found it, with the addition of your pet being happier too. I have been around older dogs, and my childhood pup lived to be nineteen. I've changed doggy diapers, and I know that older dogs need extra love and patience. I am experienced with anxious dogs as well, and giving them love until they feel safe again. I hope that with me coming to your home, your pets know the area, they aren't stressed, and aren't lonely.

House Sitting • Sep 06, 2026

Victoria came to our rescue when a booked dog sitter required emergency surgery. She was patient and eventually won over our shy bernedoodle, Mia. She sent pictures and/or updates regularly and left the house clean.

Dog Walking • Jun 20, 2026

Victoria was wonderful, made herself available at the last minute to schedule walks for my pup when I had to leave town unexpectedly. She came to meet us to make sure there would be no issues, and when my pup decided that walking wasn’t going to work for her (she’s a sensitive rescue), Victoria adapted and turned the walking session into a hang out session and sent me pictures of treats and greets.

Top dog sitter! My dogs love her and that's saying a lot for my little non-trusting Terriers. Victoria is patient, very attentive and genuinely enjoys her time with all her furry clients. Thank you again Victoria!!

Schedule

This is my main job now! I am a writer as well, which lets me set my own schedule and keep odd hours in odd places, but as long as I have an internet connection I'm good! Your pets are always my priority, though, and writing is what I do while your pet naps or relaxes in the sun. I am available every day of the week, and on short notice if needed and not otherwise booked. My house-sitting price is based upon your pet being my responsibility for 24 hours. But I will have to be able to leave for other clients and commitments during the day, up to 4-6 hours at a time. I will return between these commitments to make sure your pets are ok, feed them, give them a walk, or just keep them company. My 'main base of operations' will always be there with them. I will also stay at your home overnight. (Constant Care Pricing is explained in the second picture of my gallery). Please message me if you have any questions ❤

Please tell me everything you think I need to know about your pet, even if the details might be silly. I know they're your family and sometimes have their own quirks or certain needs. I had a dog that was scared of drains and hated to go for walks near them - I want to be able to make your animal are happy as possible and not add any undue stress to the situation. Let me know if they're anxious, or prone to growling, hissing, or scratching/biting. Also if your pets require a certain amount of food per day, have a special diet, or require medicine. I will ask for meet-and-greets before working for you, so both I and the animals feel safe.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
