Pet care experience

Responsible and reliable pet lover!

Hi, I’m Victoria 👋 I’ve looked after pets and homes both here in the UK and abroad, and I know how much peace of mind it brings to know your furry family members are in safe, caring hands. I have experience with everything from lively puppies and playful kittens to wise seniors who need a gentler pace. I’m also confident caring for anxious pets and have given medication (including injections), so I’m happy to support any special routines. Whether it’s long walks, cuddles on the sofa, or simply keeping to a familiar routine, I’ll make sure your pets feel comfortable and loved.

I highly recommend Victoria for anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care. She looked after my dog with genuine affection and attention, making sure all needs were met… from feeding and walks to playtime and comfort. I appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear Victoria truly cares about animals and treats them as if they were their own. My dog was happy, relaxed, and well looked after and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again and would gladly recommend her services to others.

A very thoughtful and professional person who looked after my aged and routine driven dog. She also treated my house with respect. Put her sheets in the washing machine and cleaned the bathroom she used. Victoria left the house as she found it. Normally my dag is frantic to see me when I go away. When I returned and Victoria was there, she actually looked more at her than me! As if to say " Oh you're back, well Victoria what are we doing next?" No greater compliment really.

Great communication and was very good with Albie. He clearly had a great time and we were very happy.

We can highly recommend Victoria her care for Dude was just perfect for his needs as he can be a little anxious meeting new people. From our initial meet and greet we knew he would be in safe hands which gave us great comfort. We will be booking Victoria in the future if she's available of course.

Victoria was an excellent dog and house sitter. From the off, her communication and attention to detail gave us every confidence that we could leave everything in her capable hands. We returned to happy dogs, a tidy house, even a head start on the washing! It was lovely to receive updates whilst we were away. I think Victoria has some definite new fans. 🐕🐕

I appreciate that Victoria left our home clean and tidy and our pets were all alive on our return; however, I regret that I cannot recommend her as a pet sitter based on our experience. Despite providing clear instructions, several aspects of our sit experience caused us significant concern. My dog received far less exercise than agreed upon—the lowest being only 26 minutes total across an entire day, as confirmed by my PitPat tracker. Additionally, a neighbour who kindly checked on my dog that day found our back door unlocked while Victoria was away from the property, which raised safety concerns. I have an insulin-dependent cat whose blood glucose was very high (19 mmol/l) when we returned, compared to her usual stable range (5–11 mmol/l). While the exact cause is uncertain, this may have been related to missed meal times or insulin administration issues, despite pre-drawn insulin and detailed guidance being provided. Another point of concern was that Victoria had a guest over multiple times without prior agreement, which we only learned about after neighbours alerted us and we asked her directly. I don't like to leave negative reviews but this experience was stressful for my pets and disappointing for us. I should highlight Victoria denies not following my pets' care instructions and leaving the house unlocked. We recieved no further daily pet updates after raising our concerns with Victoria halfway though our stay. She left our property before we arrived home so we could not discuss them face to face. I have submitted my evidence to Rover prior to leaving this review and received a substantial refund after their review of my evidence. I appreciate Rover’s efficient handling of my complaint.

It’s really helpful to know your pet’s routine, any quirks or anxieties, and if they need medication or special care. I’m experienced with giving meds (including injections), so I’m happy to support that. I also like to know how your pet is with other dogs/people, their favourite things (and any dislikes!), and your house rules — so I can keep everything consistent and comfortable for them while you’re away.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
