Pet sitting fits naturally into my weekly routine because I’m organized, dependable, and able to plan my schedule around the needs of the pets in my care. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or a client’s home, my focus is on providing a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience while maintaining the routines they’re familiar with. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medications, potty breaks, and any special care requirements. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality and preferences so they feel secure and well cared for while their family is away. I also prioritize communication by providing regular updates, photos, and prompt responses so owners always know how their pet is doing. I understand that trusting someone with a beloved pet can be difficult, so I strive to give owners peace of mind through reliability, attention to detail, and compassionate care. My goal is for both pets and their owners to feel comfortable, confident, and supported throughout the entire experience.
A typical day
I am mindful to tailor activities to each pet’s age, energy level, personality, and the owner’s preferences. For active pets, I enjoy walks, fetch, tug-of-war, outdoor play, and interactive games that provide both exercise and mental stimulation. For pets who prefer a calmer pace, I focus on companionship, gentle play, enrichment toys, cuddles, and maintaining their normal routine. I also like incorporating activities that keep pets engaged and happy, such as puzzle toys, treat-finding games, basic reinforcement of commands they’ve already learned, and plenty of one-on-one attention. My goal is not only to meet their physical needs but also to make sure they feel comfortable, entertained, and loved while their owners are away. Most importantly, I follow each owner’s guidance and respect the pet’s individual personality so their time with me is enjoyable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible.
