A typical day
When I'm hanging out with a dog or cat, there are tons of ways I can make sure they have a blast while also catering to their energy levels! If they're super energetic, I'll head to a park for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. I can also keep them active, which is a great way to keep them mentally stimulated. For calmer moments, a gentle petting session can be super soothing. I always remember to have treats handy to reward good behavior, and I shower them with plenty of attention and praise. Dogs thrive on connection, so even just being present with them is a success.

I have a background that spans from working in horse barns, pet daycare centers, and in-home pet sitting, I bring a unique level of experience and confidence to animal care. I’m comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments, from spirited large-breed dogs to small-breed dogs, and I understand how to create a calm, structured environment that makes pets feel secure. Living with multiple large dogs has taught me the importance of clear communication, routine, and reading animal behavior closely. My time working with horses has also given me a strong foundation in safety, responsibility, and calm leadership—skills that apply to all species. Whether I’m walking, feeding, or simply keeping a pet company, I treat every animal with the same care and respect I give my own. I don’t know what kind of wizardry Victoria D. possesses, but she walked into my home like a Disney princess with treats, and suddenly our four under-3-year-old chaos gremlins sat, stayed, and fell in love. Let’s be honest: caring for ONE young dog is a workout. Caring for FOUR is an Olympic sport with a side of dog hair and dramatic zoomies. But Victoria? She didn’t just survive. She thrived. She’s basically the Mary Poppins of pet-sitting — if Mary Poppins wore sneakers and carried poop bags. She sent updates, cute pics, and managed to tire them out (which I thought was impossible). If you need someone who can handle high-energy, young pups like a dog-whispering superhero, Victoria D. is your gal. I am not saying she speaks fluent dog…but ive never seen this pack sit in formation like that before. - Grateful!

We never worried about our dog when we were traveling, knowing that Victoria could be counted on to attend to our dog’s needs but also give him some loving while his family was away.
