When caring for pets in client's homes, I always ensure that they are safe. If there is a fenced in area, I ensure that all gates are secure before letting pets out. If there is no fenced in area, I always ensure that I walk dogs in a safe location and avoid contact with other dogs.

Please let me know about any special needs or requirements your pet may have, including medication. It's always great to just know their preferences as well! Their favorite toy, treat, etc.
A typical day
I will do my best to keep your pets on their regularly scheduled feeding, walking, etc. Whatever activities they are used to, I will continue their daily routine as normal. I take care of pets in their own homes because I feel like they are more comfortable that way.

Pet care experience
I started petsitting as a college student in DC in 2010, until I left in 2013. I took a short break, but began petsitting again in Ithaca NY in 2014, running my own business, and stayed very busy until 2020 when covid hit. I have recently relocated back to the DC area and am building up my Rover profile with new clients! I have experience with all kinds of animals, but I have finally admitted I'm a crazy dog lady :)
