I earned my degree in December and have struggled with finding jobs in that field. As someone who already cares for a dog at home, I'm looking to incorporate pet care into my routine to be able earn a little extra money and to be able to help people who have jobs with their own pet care.

I'd like to be able create a safe environment not only for pets to play but for them to learn. Building a connection with an animal is very important. To earn their trust and respect is an important step in this line of work for me. Keeping the pet safe from both physical and emotional harm is a necessity.

My dog has no special needs but we do not give her bones or treats. She often will not eat a treat. And we watch the toys she plays with, removing then if the fabric becomes too frilled to the point where it's a concern if she might ingest some of it.
A typical day
If available I'd like to keep the dogs energy up by playing with toys, going on walks and running. However it's also important to me to be able to bring that energy down so I would spend about 30 minutes calming the dogs and getting them comfortable.

I have been a life long pet owner. From Dachsunds, Jack Russell Terriers and Chihuahuas I've cared for many breeds. I was taught by my father from a young age how to properly care for a pet.
