Pet care experience

A warm, loving home for your pet!

I have grown up with dogs in the house all my life. I first bought my family dog 7 years ago and he has since passed on. I was devastated and now I am looking to share that love with your pet and look after him as if he is my own.

Vicky van Staden is one of the most genuinely loving, generous people I know, and that shines through most clearly in the way she cares for animals. Vicky’s compassion as a pet owner is extraordinary. When her beloved dachshund suffered a serious hip and spine injury, a problem sadly all too common in the breed, she refused to give up on him and devoted herself completely to his recovery. Through patience, gentle care and endless encouragement, she quite literally taught him how to walk again, celebrating every tiny bit of progress as if it were a miracle. What stands out about Vicky is not only her dedication, but the warmth and kindness behind it. She is deeply empathetic, dependable, and incredibly nurturing, treating every animal as a cherished member of the family. Her home and heart are places of safety, affection and respect, where pets are understood, protected and truly loved. Having gone through the loss of her dachshund last year, she carries a special sensitivity to the needs of both animals and their owners, and you can trust her to be gentle, attentive and responsible in any situation. Vicky’s loving nature extends far beyond pets: she is generous with her time, emotionally supportive to those around her, and always ready to help without expecting anything in return. She is conscientious, trustworthy, and mature, with a calm presence that helps animals feel secure and people feel at ease. In every way, Vicky would make an exceptional pet carer and companion to any animal lucky enough to be in her care

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a one storey house with a very large fenced in garden with no other pets on the property. I do have some stairs coming up to the house from the garden. I am also very close to the local bicycle and walking route and various parks and trails. I am a non smoker, have no open pool and don’t mind a dog who needs to sleep on the bed. I do have a 3 and 5 year old who both love animals and are very gentle and loving.

A typical day

I will play with your pet, take them on daily walks on the nearby garden route and they are welcome to cool off under a sprinkler on hot days.
