Our pet family started almost by accident. Dark night, middle of busy intersection, an elderly dog was trying to navigate traffic. No tags, hungry and mostly blind. My husband and I were able to get him into car. We took him home, fed the little guy, cleaned him up, named him Charlie. He changed our lives. Since then, we’ve been blessed us with a number of dogs and cats throughout the years. Some have not been healthy and needed care and some are just seniors! Each one has brought us joy.

(boarding) Aunt Vicki provided frequent updates/pictures that helped put my mind at ease while being away from my rescue for the first time! She was very flexible with pick-up time when my flight was delayed.

Vicki was so sweet and took great care of my girl while we were away. She treated her like one of her own and sent plenty of pics and videos to update us. Would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be reaching out to her again!
I love Vicki and her husband Gary, not just as a dog sitter but as good people. She loves my 18 year old dog just like her own and checks in on him even when she isn’t watching him. She goes above any beyond with my little guy as he is elderly and has some health issues. I consider her a friend and trust her completely.
We recently went on a three-day international trip and needed someone truly trustworthy to look after our cat. We were fortunate enough to find Vicki, and I can confidently say she exceeded every expectation we had. From the very beginning, her communication was clear, professional, and thoughtful. She asked the right questions, paid attention to every detail, and instantly gave us peace of mind. While we were away, Vicki cared for our cat with a level of dedication and kindness that is rare to find. She didn’t just “check in” on him—she genuinely spent time with him, comforted him, played with him, and made sure he felt safe and loved in our absence. Her updates were consistent, detailed, and incredibly reassuring. Each photo and message reflected how much she truly cares about animals. When we came back home, we could immediately see the difference. Our cat was calm, happy, and completely relaxed—almost as if we had never left. In fact, over the past few days, we can tell he genuinely misses Vicki and keeps looking toward the door, waiting for her to walk in again. It’s rare for him to bond with someone new so quickly, and that alone says everything about the level of comfort and trust she created. To be honest, we feel like we’ve found a new member of our family in Vicki. Her kindness, reliability, professionalism, and genuine love for animals make her an exceptional caregiver. Knowing that our cat was in such capable and loving hands allowed us to enjoy our trip without worry. I would recommend Vicki to anyone on Rover who wants true peace of mind. If you’re looking for someone responsible, compassionate, and truly devoted to the well-being of your pet, Vicki is absolutely the person you want. We are so grateful for her and will definitely be booking with her again.
Vicki gave extra special attention to Cinder Lou even though he would not come out of his hidey hole in the closet. She spoke to him and called him by name as well as giving his treats and bringing a toy for him. I know it made a difference that he knew someone was there talking to him and keeping his food and water fresh and his box clean. Vicki is loving, caring and intuitive lady who gives attention to every detail and I'm so lucky I found her!

Dates de la garde
After many years as interior designer, retired to part time this past September 2024. Now, to pursue hobbies and life’s next adventure! My schedule is built on the value I can bring to folks that need pet care, just like Gary and I have needed for our pets over the years. You should be able to have the personal freedom you need and not worry about your precious fur babies. They will be secure in my care. Expect pics to put your mind at ease!

First and foremost fur babies are family. Boundaries are set. If staying in our home, we have a safe quiet (pet) bedroom /play area. We can play soothing, calming, music. Toys ready to throw, pillows, snuggle blankets ready for tucking and snuggling. Hugs and kiss are free and abundant! Let the fun and love begin! They quickly let us know what’s next! Play? Walk? Snuggle? Note: sleeping with your baby is possible, can be discussed. Their safety is the consideration.

I love to interact with animals big and small. First sensing their comfort level, speaking softly, then drawing them into playful communication. We toss toys, get a tummy rub, walk and look for squirrels!
