Pet care experience
Animal lover very close to open space & the river!
Me and my partner recently lost our chinchilla who we loved and cared for over the last 8 years. Not in a position to get another pet just yet, dog sitting, boarding or walking felt like a great way to still be able to interact with furry friends! I am still able to get my animal fix regularly seeing and caring for my parents young sprocker spaniel. I’ve always had pets and taken care of animals growing up - hamsters, Guinea pigs, cats and even a snake at one time! Although a little while ago now, at University I walked dogs for a charity called the Cinnamon Trust, who organise dogs walkers for to elderly or less able bodied people who aren’t able to walk their dogs as much as they would like! Me and my partner now work regular 9-5 jobs from home which means we can be there with your dog all day and to let them out for regular loo breaks in our back or front garden! Plus getting away from the screen at lunch for a quick walk to the park and river which is a stones throw from our home! I can offer dog walking, sitting or boarding depending on what you need! A front and back garden for your dog to enjoy! The back garden is small, paved and secure (perfect for loo breaks and sniffing) whilst the front garden has grass and is bigger for ball games! Walks generally start from home, close to large open space and the river for those water lovers amongst us! Probably starting with lead or long leash walks depending on your dogs recall and your own preferences! I understand leaving your pet with another person can be daunting and it takes a lot of trust! To help this process we are keen to meet and greet all four legged friends before staying with us! It would be great to hear more about your dog! What motivates your dog (cuddles, food..)? What is their nighttime and daytime routine (to ensure as much consistency as possible)? How well do they get on with other dogs and humans? Plus any other quirks and adorable traits!

Ratings and reviews
Mila’s stay with Vicki was fantastic! She came home one very happy and tired pup! They took loads of walks, had lots of cuddles and had a lot of fun. Vicki’s communicative was superb, sending updates and photos. Thanks for having Mila!

My dogs didn’t want to come home after spending the day with Vicki. They were looked after with care and love. I’m an anxious dog owner and Vicki’s calm, organised reliability helped reassure me that the dogs will be in safe hands! Vicki kept me updated with their activities and shared pictures of the dogs throughout the day which was most welcome. The dogs can’t wait to stay with Vicki again ?
Vicky was very reliable and communicative when we went away. I felt very safe leaving my dog, for the first time, to be looked after by her. I would definitely ask Vicky to do it again and I would recommend her as a dog sitter/walker to my friends.

Vicki is wonderful, great communication, updated me with lots of photos and our pup had wonderful walks. Thank you! Will absolutely have Vicki look after Colt any time again in the future.

Vicki often comes to our home and petsit and walk Pepper, our 16 month old Sprocker. Pepper is also happy to spend weekends with Vicki. Vicki was the first person we trusted when going on holiday since having Pepper. Before Pepper we also had a pet cat called Susie who we had for 17 years. Vicki would regularly come to our home to care for Susie when we were on holiday or away for a weekend. In Susie's older age she needed more specialist health care and Vicki would routinely administer her tablets through her food. Vicki has a natural passion for pets whether small or large and I am sure she would look after them as though they were her own.

Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
A typical day
Your dog will receive at least two walks a day and length will vary depending on their needs! These will be based in various setting - park and open space, countryside and riverside walks! As well as maybe an amble through town! I love the outdoors and have a particular interest in rivers (I live and breath this through my job!) so I do love a river walk. Keeping your dog entertained and mentally stimulated during their stay will generally depend on the individual dog! If their food orientated, I love to play ‘find it’ which involves hiding treats throughout the house or garden - my parents sprocker loves this! If your dog loves playing with balls then we will spend time on walks playing fetch! Please let me know what you do to keep you dog entertained and I will do my best to replicate their favourite activities!
