I grew up around my family's dogs so when I moved out to Chicago on my own, I missed them deeply! From a young age I learned about responsibility and the incredible bonds we make with our fur babies that are like no other. I've realized (especially through the 2020 pandemic) that I very much miss having an animal friend, particularly dogs - so I've decided to offer my services as a sitter for dogs and cats (and plants too!) as a way to enjoy that companionship again and to help support myself! I'll love your pets as if they're my own - they should be treated like family, because they are family! More than anything, I promise to give your fur babies the best possible love and care while you're away. While I cannot currently board any animals at my house, what I can do (and prefer to do) is house sitting, drop-ins, walks, constant care, and cat care. My housesitting service consists of staying over from 6:30pm - 9:30am and includes a midday check-in. I may or may not stay there longer depending on what my workload is like that day. Constant care - for animals who cannot be left alone for more than an hour - is charged hourly at my drop-in rate (9:30am - 6:30pm) on top of my housesitting rate. For more complex bookings, I can provide a price quote after discussing the details of care. As a sidenote, I'm happy to watch most caged animals too! Reptiles, fish, birds, rabbits, etc - most I'm fine with, just check in with me about it and make sure you mention that in your request prior to my stay. Any small/caged that I'll be responsible for while you're gone will be an extra $10/per night per caged/small animal, which will be added onto your booking request.

Safety, trust & environment
I require in-person meet-n-greets before every stay. The first one is free - if you'd like to go beyond that prior to your booking then my current drop-in rate will be applied to each meeting thereafter. A meet-n-greet is required to ensure we all get a good feel for each other and to make sure we're a good fit! It also helps me understand the layout of your home: where food is, where the litterbox is, where extra litter lives, quirks of your home, etc. I also have a list of questions I ask whenever a new booking comes in about what your pet is like, any other details of my stay, etc. You can describe what you want, need, and expect from me too! I'm also an open book - if you'd like references, I'm happy to provide those too. I'm very laidback and I hope to make those around me relaxed while in my presence, so anything you'd like to know, please just ask!

Vez was wonderful to work with! They took great care of my two labs and sent me regular updates while I was on vacation. They were super attentive and friendly, and my pups instantly loved them.
Vez was great! We left for 5 days and our 3 dogs were in amazing care. Before booking, we had a meet and greet and I immediately knew they’d be in good hands. We got tons of pictures and all 3 dogs loved her. We came home to our house that looked exactly the same as we left it. We will definitely book again when we take another trip or need a drop in visit!
Vez was amazing! She was so responsive and kept us updated on our girls! (2 cats and 1 dog) Highly recommend her for a great pet sitter!
Vesryn was great, they listened carefully to our socially anxious dog's special needs and everything was neat and organized when we get back. In addition, they communicated well and sent pictures frequently. Will definitely use their help again!

Schedule
Other than petsitting I do have another job that is completely remote, so I'm extremely flexible. For my more extended or involved stays, I'll take my laptop with me in case I need to work - and take breaks when needed to attend to anything your pup or kit might need.
