Availability

I work full-time as a researcher; however, my work location and schedule are fairly flexible, allowing me to adapt my day to your pet's routine. I enjoy taking regular breaks for walks and spending time outdoors, so dogs get plenty of exercise and company rather than being left alone for long periods. When I am travelling for work, I simply do not accept bookings. This means that whenever I commit to looking after your pet, they will have my full attention.

Safety, trust & environment

Whether I am caring for your pet in your home or mine, my priority is to make them feel safe, comfortable and relaxed. I follow each pet's usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime and any dietary or medication requirements. I live in a ground-floor flat with easy access to green spaces. There is a park just outside and a dog park only a two-minute walk away, making it easy to provide regular walks, exercise and enrichment throughout the day. My home is calm and well suited to pets who enjoy both outdoor adventures and a quiet place to rest. I will treat both your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would my own, and I am always happy to send regular updates and photos so you know your companion is happy and in good hands.

Companionship comes first

Pet care experience

For me, pet sitting is all about companionship. I love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while their owners are away. I grew up with a golden retriever, several cats and a ferret, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. My golden retriever, Bella, lived to the age of 14, and looking after her throughout her senior years taught me patience, attentiveness and the importance of adapting to each animal's needs. The cats I have lived with have all had completely different personalities and quirks, which I absolutely adored. My ferret, Cika, was perhaps the most funky of them all: endlessly curious, wonderfully expressive and always ready for a cuddle. Over the past ten years, while living in Copenhagen, I regularly looked after friends' dogs and cats, as well as helped to take care of our communal sheep. Although I would love to have a pet of my own, my work as a researcher involves frequent travel, so I do not think it would be fair to commit to one at this stage. Pet sitting gives me the best of both worlds: I get to spend time with wonderful animals while giving them the care and attention they deserve. I work remotely several days a week, which gives me the flexibility to fit walks, playtime and outdoor adventures naturally into the day. I enjoy being active and spending time outside, so I am always happy to take dogs on long walks or simply keep them company at home. If your pet has dietary requirements, I am equally happy to prepare homemade meals, something I did for my own dog and have continued to do for my parents' cat. Above all, I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine. My goal is to make them feel comfortable, secure and loved, so you can be away knowing they are in good hands.

Veronika has been taking care of our bunny for many years back in Copenhagen. Whenever we travel, I know I can feel at ease because our bunny and our home will be well looked after. I appreciate the frequent updates, photos, and thoughtfulness. As our bunny has multiple medical conditions, trust is especially important, as administering medication is of the utmost importance. We initially found Veronika through a friend, as she had been taking care of their dog, and they were very happy with her.
