Availability

I work from home during the nights and am available throughout the day. My spouse is home in the evenings, so there is almost always someone present. Your pup is rarely alone, and if we do step out, it’s typically for no more than 2–3 hours for a quick outing or meal. This setup allows for frequent potty breaks, consistent supervision, and plenty of attention throughout the day and evening—perfect for pups who enjoy company and routine.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a fully fenced backyard with double side gates to prevent gates from accidentally being left open—no surprise adventures here. Safety is always a top priority. I share my home with one dog, Stella, an 11-year-old, 65-lb sweetheart. She’s very chill, prefers wiggles and naps, and is an excellent cuddler. Stella does well with both dogs and cats and tends to peacefully coexist—she’ll happily give cats their space and play appropriately with other dogs. We also have two cats, all pets in the home are spayed and neutered. The cats are dog-savvy and typically steer clear of dogs, choosing instead to play with each other or keep to themselves. We’re happy to follow crating protocols at night if requested. Stella sleeps in our room, and guest pups have options—there are plenty of comfy beds downstairs or they’re welcome to sleep upstairs in our rooms with us, depending on your preference and your dog’s routine. Our goal is to make your pup feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.

Information Veronica V. would like to know about your pet

Please let us know if your pet has any special needs or requires extra attention. This includes any medications, medical conditions, or allergies, as well as the commands your pet knows. We also ask about your pup’s routine and preferences, such as crating protocols, whether they’re allowed on furniture, and any behaviors we should be aware of to ensure a smooth stay. This may include: Separation anxiety Food aggression Destructive behaviors Excessive or unexplained barking Vocal pups or “howlers” Sharing this information helps us create the safest, calmest, and most comfortable environment for everyone—especially your pet.

A typical day

Mornings start with potty breaks and getting the wiggles out, followed by breakfast. After a bit of movement and fresh air, weekdays from early morning through early afternoon are quieter—this is nap time while I rest after my night shift, making it a great window for pups who enjoy downtime. In the afternoon, we’re back up and moving. Dinner is served, followed by playtime, more wiggle-burning, and multiple potty breaks. We spend a good amount of time outside to make sure pups can release energy and enjoy fresh air. Evenings are all about winding down. After one last round of potty breaks, pups settle in for naps or bedtime while I work from home overnight. This provides calm companionship and supervision through the night. This routine offers a healthy balance of activity, rest, structure, and comfort—tailored to each dog’s needs

Pet care experience

I've basically been running a small zoo for over 15 years—and loving every minute of it. 🐾 Dogs have always been a constant in my life, along with cats, birds, reptiles, and even the occasional hamster over the years. During my time in the military, I spent about four years providing dog sitting and drop-in care for fellow service members, whether they were deployed or spending time with their families. Caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I believe in animal freedom, structure, and trust. Pups in my care are treated as individuals, with access to a doggy door so they can come and go as they please, fresh water available at all times, and consistent twice-daily feedings. My goal is to create a calm, safe, and loving environment where dogs can relax, play, and be themselves. I run a doggy adventure club, and can run pups in a 4 acre ranch for a fee. Just inquire at booking. Your pup won’t just be watched—they’ll be cared for like family. 🐶💛

Veronica has been our regular dogs that are now for a while and has been a second home for ocean. I love that I never worry when ocean is with Veronica! She loves Ocean and ocean loves her!

Veronica took great care of my very anxious golden retriever and my very old senior dog. She was very patient with both of them and left plenty of updates and asked for advice when they had any issues. They came home healthy and comfortable.
