My schedule is very flexible, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m home from work 3 to 5 days every other week, which gives me the time and availability to provide midday walks, playtime, social interaction, and lots of love (plus treats!). Whether it’s a quick potty break or a longer stay, I’m able to be present and hands-on with each pet in my care.

For pups who enjoy mental stimulation, I love playing games like hide-and-seek with treats, which encourages thinking and focus in a fun, low-key way. For more active dogs, we might go on long walks, play fetch in the yard or at the park, or even take a trip to the beach for some fresh air and excitement. Whether it’s a relaxing day or an active adventure, I make sure each pet gets the right balance of play, exercise, and engagement.

Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for animals since I was five years old, and it’s been a lifelong passion ever since. As a young adult, I volunteered with the Humane Society, where I cared for pregnant cats and dogs—often assisting through labor and nursing. I’ve raised litters of puppies and kittens until they were old enough for adoption, and I’ve provided love and comfort to senior and injured animals in their final days. I also grew up helping at my uncle’s veterinary clinic, where I learned how to meet the needs of animals with all types of temperaments, conditions, and medical requirements. That hands-on experience taught me how to provide attentive, gentle, and informed care—especially for young puppies, seniors, or pets needing special attention. Whether your pet needs playtime, patience, or just a peaceful place to feel safe, I’m here to make sure they feel right at home.

Veronica was very kind and reassuring when we left our senior dog. Her dog Hugo accepted Mel as part of the family and gave her a companion for the week. Veronica sent pictures and videos and it was clear our dog was happy and being loved. We drove over 1 hour to have Veronica keep Mel in her home. When we came to pick Mel up, she kept running back inside the house instead of the car. That is all that needs to be said. Proof of a happy dog!
