Seeking one-night gig
April 3 2024: currently I am honestly just seeking a pet sitting gig for one night so I can have a place to stay in NYC the night of Friday April 19. Potentially open to expanding through Saturday and/or Sunday night. Price (and direction of money flow) negotiable; currently set at the minimum allowed by Rover. --------- I can't wait to meet your pet! I have two cats of my own and experience living with, fostering, and/or cat-sitting over 20 other cats. I love them all and would love to meet yours! Temperamental cats are ok with me (one I cat-sat hissed at every stranger, including me, but we managed just fine). I have dog-sat 12 dogs so far, each with very different leash behavior. They're all wonderful pups! I'm happy to take them out wherever they like best, be it a dog park, their own backyard, a hiking trail, or the neighborhood street. I'm patient with overexcited or nervous dogs and will let them take their time to warm up to me. I'm excited to meet your pup! I've administered oral medications in various forms to multiple animals (my own and others) and am happy to do this for your pets. I also regularly give one of my cats an inhaler; it goes surprisingly smoothly! I'm available for drop-in care for other types of pets, too; so far I have cared for geckos, axolotls, chickens, a rabbit, a degu, and a hamster.

I make sure to learn as much as I can about the pets' and parents' expectations beforehand, check in with the pet often, communicate with the pet parent if anything seems awry or confusing, and clean up after myself completely in someone else's home.

Veronica took great care of my furry friend while I was gone for a long weekend. Sent good pictures so I knew he was doing well.
Veronica was great! We left our dog in her care for a week while we were away and she was responsive to our texts and sent pictures. She stayed at our house with Russo, which was helpful during a storm that came up, since he does not like storms and gets very nervous. I would seek out Veronica again for more dog sitting in the future and recommend her to anyone who asks.
100% great! Veronica was able to meet my short notice request and care for my cat while I was away. My cat doesn't normally like cat sitters, but she was clearly less stressed with Veronica compared to others I've in the past (no stress shedding or loss of weight). Would absolutely recommend!
Veronica was awesome, she's very accommodating, and communicates very well! Most importantly, I returned home to a happy cat :)
Veronica was very generous in not charging us when we didn’t need her services on short notice for two days out of the booked time period. Our dog is high maintenance and Very slow to warm up to strangers. Veronica showed patience and understanding, which we appreciated very much. We would definitely consider her again.

My weekly routine is highly variable, so I accept gigs on an individual basis and work my week around the pet care gig each time.
