​Since the age of 10, my life has been dedicated to animals. Growing up on a farm in Portugal, I was surrounded by the heartbreaking reality of stray animals, which sparked a lifelong mission to help. I couldn't turn a blind eye; I brought home every animal in need—from dogs and cats to injured birds. ​Eventually, after endless ignored "no more animals after this one" pleas, my parents finally accepted their fate and helped me build dedicated kennels on our farm. Together with the local community, we provided food, medical care, and a safe haven for these animals until we could find them their forever homes. Through these 17 years of rescue work, I didn't just provide care; I studied animal behavior deeply, learning how to communicate with and comfort dogs of all temperaments. ​Currently, I am the proud parent of two dogs—a Husky and a rescue Collie/Lab—who are my entire world.
