Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in your home, my priority is safety, cleanliness, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine. I understand that pets feel most secure in their own environment, and I work hard to keep their schedule consistent to reduce stress and separation anxiety. I provide frequent walks, interactive playtime, and plenty of companionship to prevent boredom. I truly enjoy spending quality time with animals — cuddles included! Whether your pet prefers quiet companionship or active engagement, I adjust to their personality and needs. I am respectful of your home and treat it with the same care and integrity I would expect in my own. You can trust that I will keep your space clean, secure, and well-maintained while you’re away. Doors are double-checked, safety is always top of mind, and communication is consistent. If your pet has specific feeding routines, slow feeders, elevated bowls, medications, or other special requirements, I am happy to follow instructions carefully to ensure their comfort and well-being. Your pet’s safety and your peace of mind are always my top priorities.
Information Veronica C. would like to know about your pet
To ensure the safety of your pet, your home, and myself, I ask that all pets be current on flea/tick prevention and required vaccinations (including rabies). Please have vaccination records available upon request. Before care begins, I like to gather as much information as possible about your pet, including: -Energy level and daily routine -Feeding schedule and any food allergies -Medication instructions or medical conditions -Anxiety, separation behaviors, or triggers -Any history of aggression toward people or other animals -Reactivity on leash or around other dogs -Known escape tendencies (door darting, fence jumping, etc.) -Crate training status (if applicable) -Favorite toys, comfort items, and calming techniques It is also important that I know if your pet has ever shown destructive behavior when left alone. For everyone’s safety, please disclose any behavioral concerns honestly. Clear communication allows me to provide the best care possible and prevent avoidable issues. Additionally, I ask for: -An emergency contact -Your preferred veterinarian’s information -Clear instructions for home access and security systems All information is good information. The more I know, the better I can keep your pet safe, comfortable, and stress-free while you’re away.
A typical day
A typical day is tailored to your pet’s energy level and normal routine. Mornings usually start with a walk or potty break before breakfast to help them burn off energy and begin the day calmly. Throughout the day, I incorporate playtime, enrichment activities, and companionship to keep them mentally and physically engaged — whether that’s a game of fetch, tug, short training reinforcement, or simply relaxing together. For higher-energy dogs, longer walks and structured activity are included. For seniors or lower-energy pets, gentle walks and calm interaction are prioritized. Evenings include another walk or potty break, dinner, and wind-down time so they feel secure and settled. I try not to leave pets alone for extended periods and limit time away to short errands or appointments when necessary. My goal is to maintain their routine, prevent boredom, and ensure they feel safe and loved while you’re away.
