I just really love dogs
I've had two dogs of my own as an adult, grew up with family dogs, and regularly do walks and drop-ins for my neighbor's dog. Both of my boys were brachycephalic breeds, so I understand how much care that takes — I'm especially attentive to heat sensitivity, breathing, and pacing during walks, and I know how to read a dog's signals and adjust accordingly. I've taken several dog training classes, read several books on positive dog training, and understand a dog's body language and signals. I've also cared for both senior and sick dogs, including my English bulldog who lived to 12 and my Frenchie that I supported through IVDD and surgery.

Safety, trust & environment
I am extremely cautious and respectful in people's homes, and sensitive to both to their privacy and their belongings. I don't even like opening the fridge in my siblings' own homes.

Vernon is such a great caregiver - he’s attentive, caring, and very gentle with furbabies. He’s also very good at caring for pups with extra needs (he locks in when following care schedules)! If you’re looking for a 10/10 dog sitter, Vern should be your go to guy!
I couldn’t be happier with my experience. He’s incredibly patient and clearly has real experience handling different breeds and temperaments — my dogs can be anxious, stubborn and energetic, and he’s handled it with so much kindness and empathy. It’s obvious he genuinely cares about the dogs he walks, and has experience with training. I trust him completely and recommend him to anyone looking for a walker or someone to care for their pet as if they were his own.

Schedule
I'm currently between jobs at the moment, and both my kids are in school. I'm generally open from 9am to 4pm for drop-ins and walks.
