Hello! My name is Vernelle. I have over 20 years professional experience caring for dogs and cats in the veterinary industry, and have recently started offering pet sitting/care here on Rover. We have a house full of dogs: labrador retrievers, a husky mix, a border collie mix, and a rescued German shepherd. They range in age from 2 years to almost 14 years and we consider them members of our family! I am excited to provide drop-in visits to care for your fur-baby in your home. I'm comfortable with pets of all ages, and am highly experienced with elderly pets as well as those that are mobility-challenged. I can also provide safe transportation to/from veterinary or grooming appointments. Any specific requests can be discussed during the meet and greet before booking.

For drop-in services, I can provide care just as you do for them at home within the given timeframe. Fresh water (and food as directed), physical/mental stimulation, and plenty of loving at each visit!

Vernelle took great care of our three dogs while we were out of town for a few days. One of my dogs is terrified of of strangers and she did great with her. We got updates and cute pictures and she even brought the mail in for us and washed the dogs bowls. 10/10 would not hesitate to have Vernelle watch the critters again!
Vernelle is the type of dog sitter you can only dream of. With over 15 years of veterinary experience and training , she’s capable and skilled enough to care for various animals, ranging in age, breed, and health. She has cared for my pets personally while I was on vacation and even provided post-surgical boarding for one of my dogs. She made sure they were well-loved and safe. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing pet care for any length of time. She’s professional, responsible, and serious about providing quality care to pets.

Schedule
I currently work full-time from home and have the luxury of having a fairly flexible afternoon and evening schedule. I can easily perform drop-in care after my work hours.

- I do require a meet and greet with the dog and/or cats prior to booking to ensure we're a good match. Each pet has his own personality and likes/dislikes. It would be helpful for you to provide information on your pet's normal schedule, favorite toy, activity, or treat. My goal is to provide stress-free care without disrupting your pet's normal routine!
