Hello! NOTE that I board and sit only one dog at a time, so yours will receive ALL my love. When I am booked my son Xander can be contacted here: https://www.rover.com/members/xander-a-uncle-of-40-puppies/ and he is a boutique boarder also. I am a dog person, and if your brain just flashed to sci-fi as mine would then welcome indeed. But what I mean is my Grandpa bred Dobermans, my sister breeds Labradoodles, and I grew up on farms where, in addition to working with dogs I managed livestock, and treated many of their ailments. My core belief is we evolved with dogs so our true place is in their company. People say their dog has a human soul inside it, but I think they have better souls than that. I've lived in The Beaches since 2012, and am very present in the neighbourhood, so you probably recognize me. I lost a dog painfully and can't do that again, so am now hoping to spend time with yours. I'm writing a book, play chess in the park, and enjoy the library. I have four grandchildren, and one of my grandchildren has three siblings, who are basically also my grandchildren. I can meet up, pick up, and drop off within The Beaches and Upper Beaches. I have my own bowls, balls, tugs, and kongs, and dogs are welcome on the furniture. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs and dogs with medical conditions, BUT can't carry dogs over 25lbs up the stairs (there are six) or onto the bed right now. If your dog might need this you'd do better with my son. Give me a shout if you want to meet and get a vibe read.

We left our Standard Poodle, Poppy with Verity for over a month, and I can honestly say she was absolutely amazing! From the moment we met Verity, I felt completely comfortable and knew that our dog was in wonderful hands. I never once doubted that she was being well cared for. Verity is incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate, and you can truly see her passion and love for animals. She went above and beyond to make sure our dog was happy, comfortable, and well looked after. Receiving lovely pictures and regular updates throughout our vacation gave us such incredible peace of mind. It made our time away even more enjoyable knowing she was safe, happy, and being so well cared for. We are so grateful that we found Verity and will absolutely be leaving our dog with her again. I highly recommend Verity to anyone looking for a loving, trustworthy, and exceptional dog sitter. We wouldn’t hesitate to use her again! Schedule
I am retired, so wildly open, and nothing I do with my day can't be scheduled around an animal. I miss pet parenting, and love experiencing the varied personalities of the pets I care for.

Safety, trust & environment
My place is small but clean and spare, and I don't have any plants. There's nothing for a dog to get into, no food or cleaners at their level. My friend across the hall is a quiet senior, the woman above us is artsy and mellow, and the people above her are adorable and have a sweet kid. On the other side of the property are my friend's awesome plumber niece and a friendly middle-aged couple: it's very peaceful here. I take dogs to the beach and park unless they have another route they prefer, and do not run any errands while with them that demand they be left tied to a post. I only walk, sit, board one dog at a time, and do not leave dogs here alone.
A typical day
I take dogs to the beach and park, let them sniff around and socialize with other dogs. At home I putter, listen to people theorize on The Winds of Winter, and pet dogs. There's a deck where I like to read with a dog at my feet, and I take dogs birdwatching with me.

- I have a lot of different kinds of toys to help mitigate any initial anxiety, and while with your pet am focused on them completely, paying attention to their cues and learning from them. I like to know what situations make them reactive, and what has worked to relax them in the past. I spend a lot of time chatting with pet owners and sitters, who offer insight and tips.
