Rather be hanging out with animals
Since I was 12 years old I’ve been around dogs. Had a dachshund for 13years she lived with my parents when I left for college; it was their baby as well. Each house I moved to my roommates had dogs and cats. I took care of them as if they were my own, took them to the park, gave them baths, cuddled them all night long. Once I graduated I decided I was ready to have my own pet. Got a cat a year ago and this year saved a dog from a gas station. Best decision I’ve ever made. I call them my “children” and they are everything to me.

I take care of my pets by greeting them just like humans and taking my dog straight out to the bathroom after I wake up and an hour to 30 minutes later after they’ve eaten/drank a ton of water. I feed my dog in the mornings right after she goes to the bathroom and feed her again late afternoon. With my cat I’ll check her food at the same time I feed the dog. My cat eats on her own time so I check twice a day. I usually clean her box every two days.

Vera was great with our kitties and they really seemed to like her. She took the time with them to cuddle and was very attentive to her surroundings which saved us a disaster with a screen.

Schedule
My pet care fits into my schedule in the afternoon because I get off work around 3pm-4pm on week days. On the weekends if I’m not out of town I’m so bored and rather be occupied with taking care of animals.
