My Daily Routine & Services I work from home, so my day is structured around the pets in my care. I offer daycare throughout the week, with a preference for boarding on weekends. I accommodate a long walk and pee breaks every 2 to 3 hours. Your pet's needs and routine are my priority, and I ensure each day is tailored to provide them with the care, attention, and exercise they require.

For Dogs Staying with Me: I ensure that your dog always has access to fresh water, and I respect their meal times, dietary needs, and portions. I focus on building trust through positive reinforcement and engaging games. For dogs that crave more physical attention, I provide plenty of cuddles, while for those that prefer space, I respect their need for comfort and allow them to explore and settle in at their own pace. I live in a spacious flat with nearby green spaces for quick potty breaks, and I’m conveniently close to both Victoria and Pilrig Parks for walks and playtime. For dogs that prefer a quieter space to explore, I’m also close to the Waters of Leith. I am happy to provide oral medication as well.

A typical day
If your dog stays for daycare or boarding, I’ll make sure their physical needs are fully met. Whether it's a longer visit to the park or a more relaxed, quiet time for pets with lower energy, I’ll adapt to their unique needs. I believe in building trust through positive reinforcement training and engaging play. Your dog’s happiness and well-being are my top priorities! For dogs that I take on walks, I provide plenty of opportunities to explore the world around them. We’ll enjoy walks that let them sniff and investigate new smells, as well as active play like fetch or Frisbee when they’re up for it. Whether they enjoy exploring or prefer a more relaxed stroll, I’ll ensure they have a fun and fulfilling experience.

I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and a variety of other animals, so taking care of pets has always felt natural to me. I have a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and have often looked after my friends' pets free of charge simply because I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I understand how much our pets mean to us, and I always aim to treat them with the care, respect, and attention they deserve. It would be a privilege to work with and spend time with your pet, adapting to their unique needs and providing the best care, whether on walks or while you're away.

We've used Velveth quite a few times now. She's always happy to have Buddy and looks after him so well. Velveth asks all the right questions, so I know Buddy is in safe hands with her.
Velveth looked after Milo for the first time this July for 3 days and nights. My mind was set at ease with an easily organised meet and greet and Milo was able to sniff around her flat. Velveth sent many written and photo updates over the time she had him which was really appreciated. I was very pleased to see and hear how my shy guy got comfortable and even playful with her over such a short period of time. Would recommend and book again. Thanks Velveth!
Velveth was amazing and took such good care of our rambunctious labradors. She sent regular updates and photos and was brilliant with them. Would definitely send them to her again.
Velveth was great! It was a short notice booking request but she was able to accommodate and responded very quickly to booking request. Also she suggested meeting up briefly the evening before so that Monty was familiar with her. I received photos and updates while Monty was with her and I got back a very tired dog at the end of the day.
